Jean Anne Brennan-Wiebracht, who signed her correspondence “Jeanne Brennan,” was an accountant in Jeffrey Epstein’s Virgin Islands office, listed as “Head Accountant” in one undated office directory and as “LSJ/STC Controller” in another undated staff list.12 From September 21, 2007 she was a director of Financial Trust Company, Inc. and its Vice President and Treasurer; she was an officer and trustee of Epstein’s Virgin Islands charity until February 2012, the named manager of two Epstein entities, and an authorized signatory on nine FirstBank Puerto Rico accounts across six Epstein entities.567891011 She prepared the financial projections in Southern Trust Company’s application for Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission tax benefits and was one of the two Epstein employees to whom Epstein’s Virgin Islands counsel addressed a written opinion on the residency conditions attached to those benefits.1617 An internal analysis of Epstein’s payroll ranks her third by total employment cost in the document’s 2014 list.18 Her own correspondence among the documents read for this page continues to March 2019 and covers the repair of the Southern Trust office after the 2017 hurricanes, its payroll and its banking.192015
The St. Thomas office
An undated directory of Epstein’s Virgin Islands operation pairs “Head Accountant” with her name, “Office Manager” with Cecile de Jongh, and lists separate accountants for LSJE and for Southern Trust Company; the same page notes that Southern Trust “is the Administration office for LSJE which controls Purchasing, Vendor payments, Expense tracking, Staff payroll and Contractor(s) payments.”1 A separate undated employee list gives her title as “LSJ/STC Controller,” with de Jongh as “STC Office Manager/ VI Gov. issues.”2 Deutsche Bank’s know-your-customer file records her occupation as “Finance” and her employer as “Southern Financial, LLC,” at 6100 Red Hook Quarter, B3, St. Thomas, the address of Financial Trust Company; a later version of the same form gives the employer as “Southern Financial, US.”421 She signed banking correspondence “Jeanne Brennan wiebracht, CPA.”22
A Bear Stearns statement for the period January 26 to February 22, 2002, for a brokerage account held care of Financial Trust Company, is addressed “C/O FINANCIAL TRUST COMPANY / ATTN JEANNE BRENNAN,” and JPMorgan Private Bank asset account statements addressed to Epstein “C/O FINANCIAL TRUST COMPANY / ATTN: JEANNE BRENNAN” at the Red Hook Quarter address survive from March and October 2002.142324 In March 2013 a JPMorgan vice-president told the bank’s shipping desk to mail three shipments of checks to the Virgin Islands address and added, “If you can put C/O Jeanne Brennan, that would be great.”25
Enhanced Education
On February 29, 2012 she signed a one-paragraph letter to the board of The J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation, Inc., also known as Enhanced Education: “The undersigned, Jeanne Brennan, hereby resigns as a Trustee, the Treasurer and the Secretary of The J. Epstein Virgin Islands Foundation, Inc., a Virgin Islands not-for-profit corporation, a/k/a Enhanced Education, effective as of February 29, 2012.”8 Cecile de Jongh resigned the same day as trustee and vice-president, and Darren Indyke resigned as president effective March 1.2627 Indyke, as sole remaining trustee, then appointed Epstein and the attorney Erika Kellerhals to the vacancies, and a unanimous consent dated March 1 installed Epstein as president, Indyke as vice-president and Kellerhals as treasurer and secretary, removing every officer not named in it.2829
Corporate roles
A unanimous consent of the directors of Financial Trust Company, Inc. dated September 21, 2007 selected her as the company’s Vice President and as its Treasurer, with Darren Indyke as President and Cecile de Jongh as the other Vice President and as Secretary, and removed “all persons currently serving as officers of the Corporation” who were not named in it; she signed it as one of the three directors, below Indyke and de Jongh.5 Epstein resigned as a director and as President of the company the same day, and a consent of the sole shareholder dated September 21, 2007 and signed by him elected Indyke, de Jongh and her as its three directors effective that date, reciting that his resignation had left two directors where the by-laws required three.306
She was one of three directors of Financial Trust Company, Inc. who signed its March 8, 2010 unanimous consent authorising Darren Indyke, “acting singly,” to open banking, custody and brokerage accounts at J.P. Morgan and to delegate operational authority over them; the other signatures are de Jongh’s and Indyke’s.7
On November 1, 2011 she swore an “Affidavit Re Not Doing Business” for FirstBank stating that Epstein was the sole member of Thomas World Air, L.L.C., that she had been the company’s manager since January 22, 2010, and that the company “never did any business of any kind” and was “a holding company, which was not and is not intended to be used for any type of business.”9 In December 2011 she swore a materially identical affidavit as manager of LSJ Employees, L.L.C., adding that that company was not intended for any business “other than to employ household employees.”10
Draft articles of incorporation for Financial Strategy Group, Ltd., filed in January 2012 as an appendix to an application to the Virgin Islands Lieutenant Governor’s Division of Banking and Insurance for benefits as an International Banking Entity, name Epstein, Indyke and her as the three incorporators.31
Economic Development Commission work
On September 20, 2012 she sent Epstein a draft of Appendix 37 to Southern Trust Company’s Economic Development Commission application, copying Indyke, de Jongh and Kellerhals, with a note flagging the assumptions she had used, including a first-year sales projection and a first-year salary total.16 Epstein replied on September 21, “increase year 4 and five by 30 percent”; she confirmed the change and asked whether he preferred the revenue line item to be called fee income or sales income, and he answered “fee.”16
A year earlier, on August 25, 2011, Epstein’s Virgin Islands counsel Erika Kellerhals wrote jointly to de Jongh and to her at Financial Trust Company under the heading “EDC Residency Requirements for Employees,” confirming in writing “the discussions we had in connection with your preparation of the EDC affidavits for the periods ending March 31, 2010 through March 31, 2011.”17 The letter set out the requirement in Title 29 of the Virgin Islands Code that a beneficiary of the programme employ at least ten persons full time and that they be Virgin Islands residents, and recorded the position the two had taken: “As we discussed, you noted on the affidavit that Mr. Epstein was a resident employee of Financial Trust Company, Inc.”17 Kellerhals’s opinion was that this was correct: that Epstein had made the Virgin Islands his home since 1999, and that neither his incarceration nor his Florida home detention displaced that domicile, the rule being that “a prisoner retains the domicile he had at the time of incarceration”; and it concluded that “you correctly categorized Mr. Epstein as a resident employee for purposes of the EDC residency affidavit for the years 2010 and 2011.”17 She added that “as a result of our discussions regarding the preparation of the affidavits and after further research, I had communicated our position to the Economic Development Authority with respect to Mr. Epstein’s domicile and residence.”17
Bank authority
FirstBank Puerto Rico
FirstBank’s March 9, 2020 response to a Southern District of New York grand jury subpoena lists the bank’s Epstein-related accounts with their authorized signatures. Her name appears on nine of them.11 Holland & Knight produced the same schedule to the same office again on April 15, 2020.32

JPMorgan Chase
On March 22, 2013 a JPMorgan private bank vice-president wrote internally that “the Epstein office has agreed to reallocate the credit limits on the various CC’s,” that the limit on LSJ, LLC would be cut from $200,000 to $150,000, and that the office had asked for new cards with a $50,000 exposure for Southern Trust Company, Inc.: a master limit of $50,000, within which the individual limit recorded for “Jeanne Brennan” was $10,000.33 An April 18, 2013 fax from her repeated the individual limits and, under the line “Card holder names will be:”, listed Jeanne Brennan, Cecile de Jongh and Darren Indyke.34
On October 1, 2013 the same banker circulated the status of six Epstein cash-transfer requests (covering accounts of Southern Financial LLC, Southern Trust Company, Inc., Jeepers, Inc. and the Haze Trust, with balances to be moved to Deutsche Bank) to Harry Beller and Richard Kahn, copying Indyke and her.35
Deutsche Bank
An undated Deutsche Bank know-your-customer research note records that “For Southern Financial LLC KYC confirms Jeffrey Epstein, Darren Indyke and Jeanne Brennan as the signor’s/POA on the accounts, and for Southern Trust company Inc KYC confirms Jeffrey Epstein, Darren Indyke, Harry Beller and Jeanne Brennan as the signor’s/POA on the accounts.”12 A KYC case representative’s August 24, 2018 summary of the periodic review of the Southern Financial relationship lists her as “Authorized Signatory@SFL,” and records Southern Trust Company, Inc. as the sole member of Southern Financial, LLC.36
Responding to a bank rejection point in late 2018 that the signatories recorded for the Haze Trust brokerage account did not match the parties in the bank’s securities system, a response in the bank’s KYC correspondence stated that the account resolutions showed “Jeffrey Epstein & Darren Indyke/Trustees,” “Harry Beller & Jean Anne Wiebracht — POAs,” and a limited trading authorization for a fourth person.13 A Deutsche Bank securities compliance memo separately recorded that “Jean Anne Brennan was appointed as agent,” that her identification carried the name Jean Anne Brennan-Wiebracht, and, as a defect requiring approval, that “the signatures were notarized by one the Agents being given power of attorney.”37
Correspondence with Epstein
She wrote to Epstein monthly asking whether to process a recurring bonus payment for another employee, and his replies are a single word, “yes” or “Yes.”38
On February 8, 2013 she and Epstein exchanged messages about disposing of boats and boat engines: she reported an offer of $10,000 for two engines from a vessel called “Little C” against an asking price of $15,000, and he asked “what is the real value of fat cat.”39
On December 17, 2013 she wrote to a Deutsche Bank private-bank officer that in confirming a recent wire to FirstBank online she had noticed “the name on wire memo was incorrect”, the memo read “SOUTHWESTERN TRUST COMPNAY INC”, and used the same message to introduce the office’s Southern Trust accountant, who was “part of our team and may at times be contacting you.”22 The message was forwarded to a managing director that afternoon.40
On February 6, 2015 she asked Deutsche Bank whether the reinstated Mort, Inc. account would keep its existing account numbers, “as we are preparing wire transfers”; Indyke and Richard Kahn were copied, and Indyke sent the signed reinstatement documents the same day.41 In January 2014 a solar-energy vendor’s approach about powering Little St. James reached Epstein by way of Lesley Groff, with Brennan-Wiebracht copied on the vendor’s message.42
The office after the 2017 hurricanes
Hurricanes Irma and Maria crossed the Virgin Islands in September 2017, and she wrote to Lesley Groff from St. Thomas after both. On September 23 she said, “We are okay. It was a harrowing experience.” and, in the same message, “The biggest issue is connectivity.” On September 27 she wrote again, “We are all safe but the aftermath has not been easy.” and “It is still unfathomable that we had 2 cat 5’s.”43
Three weeks later she was reporting on the repair of the Southern Trust office itself. Under the heading “Update 10/12/2017” and the line “Per our conversation this morning:” she wrote to Richard Kahn, Cecile de Jongh and Una Pascal on painters, a contractor recorded as on hold, engineers due on the island on the 17th with an assessment for the office to follow on the 19th, a roofer being sent to see whether tarping would stop a leak at the back, a carpet installer who had stopped the installation but wanted a deposit cheque to hold the stock, base boards and ceiling tiles needing replacement, mould removal, network switches for the office and for the island, and a copier quotation she was to re-check. Kahn forwarded the whole of it to Epstein under the subject “STC Office update”; her message is stamped October 12, 2017 at 10:11:25 AM EDT and his Thu, 12 Oct 2017 14:19:55 +0000.19
On November 15, 2017 she reported to Epstein directly, with Ann Rodriquez and Danny Vicars also addressed and a copy line the production has blacked out, on the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority’s line crews laying poles along the Cabrita Road. She gave the crew’s own estimate of ten to fourteen days to complete the poles, asked for confirmation that “the access point to LSJ ( on the ST. Thomas side)” and the equipment needed to receive current were functional, and closed, “I will keep you updated on the line crew pulling of the wire.”44
Her documented work continues through 2018 and into 2019. On May 1, 2018 she told Kahn that a bank account had been opened at FirstBank for Karyna Shuliak, that she had opened it with a $250 cash deposit, and that Shuliak would have to sign the opening paperwork at the Red Hook branch within thirty days; and, in the same message, that “We issued a paycheck from LSJE, LLC net amount of the check $2,081.35( see attached for copy).” She asked whether that cheque should go to New York in the next package or be deposited in the new account, and noted that “Una can set up direct deposit for future checks once we receive confirmation on the account”.20
On August 28, 2018 Kahn wrote to her under a subject line one word of which the production has blacked out: “lets talk about moving from LSJE LLC to STC as per jee thanks”. Her reply was a single word, “ok”.45
On December 14, 2018 a message addressed to her, Daphne Wallace, de Jongh and Ann Rodriquez said that a Fed Ex was on its way to the Southern Trust office holding Apple Watches and bands “clearly marked for Jeanne, Cecile, Anna and Erika”, with an instruction to be sure Erika Kellerhals got her watch and band; the sender’s name is blacked out on that sheet. Her reply the same day was that “we will look out for it!”46
On December 18 she wrote to Epstein under the subject “Thank you”: “Thank you for the apple watch. What a great present!” and “And thank you for the steadfast force you have been to us for quite a while now.”47
On December 28, 2018 Kahn asked her to provide details of the ASU Foundation donations made by Gratitude and Enhanced over the previous three years. She answered the same day, copying Darren Indyke, with a spreadsheet and the note “See attached. Note JEVIF donated to ASU foundation but Gratitude did not.” She added that Gratitude had made a donation to the University of Arizona Foundations in 2017 and that she was not sure it was the same institution, the mailing addresses being different. Kahn forwarded her answer to Epstein.48
The latest of her messages in this set is dated March 12, 2019. She sent Kahn a message headed “TD Ameritrade - close account”, and he passed it to Epstein the same day with two files attached, “TD_Account.pdf” and “TD_Ameritrade_letter.pdf”, writing that “i called our rep and he said they did not give him a reason..” and that “his only comment of relevance was that due to account size of 75mm+ is goes thru more scrutiny…”, that the “account was in SFL name..where we also have account at IB..”, and “lets discuss if you want to further trim assets in this account before transferring..”15
Throughout this period she was on the office’s standing distribution for Epstein’s own movements. Seven messages read for this section report his movements to a list of household, office and flight staff on which her name appears: October 1, 2017; December 19, 27 and 31, 2018; January 11 and 14, 2019; and March 28, 2019. The last of them is addressed, among others, to de Jongh, Daphne Wallace, Ann Rodriquez, Stephanie Remington, Valdson Cotrin, Jojo Fontanilla, Carluz Toylo, Arline Toylo and her, with further recipients whose names the production has blacked out.49
Compensation
An internal analysis headed “JEE 2014 Payroll & Benefits” ranks her third by total employment cost in its list of the ten highest for 2014, at $251,643, or 4.0 percent of a $6,268,862 total across ten entities; Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn are ranked above her.18 The same analysis gives her Southern Trust salary as $98,000 in 2009, $150,000 from 2010 to 2012, $153,846 in 2013 and $175,000 in 2014, noting an increase from $150,000 to $175,000 on September 17, 2013, with bonuses of $10,000 in 2012 and $15,000 in 2013; the package also included health insurance, a SIMPLE IRA contribution, payroll taxes and tuition assistance, and her total employment cost rose from $172,799 in 2009 to $251,643 in 2014.50 A schedule of Epstein-entity payments records a Southern Trust payroll payment of $11,308.50 to “Jeanne Brennan Wiebracht,” described as an employee year-end bonus, on December 20, 2018.3
Name in bank records
Deutsche Bank recorded her name inconsistently across its files and twice raised it as a compliance defect. A July 5, 2017 rejection notice for the know-your-customer file on Zorro Management, LLC, within the Southern Financial relationship, listed as its fourth point: “As per the driver’s license, the legal name of the signatory is — Jean Anne Brennan-Wiebracht. Please fix the legal name in the system and re-run searches accordingly.”51 On August 24, 2018 a case representative raised it again: “One of the RP’s Jean Anne Brennan Wiebracht has incorrect name reflected in Corp Resolution and Signature Card from 2017. The name reflecting there is Jeanne Brennan whereas her driving license, attached for reference reflects Jean Anne Brennan,” and asked for an updated corporate resolution, noting that the operating agreement also used “Jeanne Brennan.”36 Documents she signed in 2010 and 2012 use “Jeanne Brennan”; the bank’s individual-details sheets use “Jean Anne Brennan Wiebracht”; the FirstBank schedules use “Jeanne Brennan-Wiebracht.”78411
The office’s own e-mail carries a further variant, and it is the one that most affects how much of her record a search returns. Her name is given as “Jeanne Brennnan Wiebracht,” with a third n in Brennan, in the header lines of fifty-four documents, in her own sender field, in the address line of a message to her from Lesley Groff, in the copy line of one from Bella Klein, and in the recipient lists of the office’s circulars; fifty-one of the fifty-four fall outside the set the correctly spelled phrase returns. Ten of those sheets were read at the image for this page and all ten print the three-n form on their face, so it is what the documents say and not an artefact of the extraction.52 One of the ten, a chain of September 2017, prints a further spelling in its innermost copy line: “Jeanne Brennen.”43 Her own e-mail signature block carries another, the surname a letter short. Thirty-four documents in the release are reachable only through that spelling, and the two of them read at the image print the block on their face as “Jeanne Brennan Wiebract, CPA”.53

Financial Trust Company, Inc., unanimous consent of the directors in lieu of meeting appointing officers, Sept 21, 2007. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA00300027 p.21 (stamped EFTA00300047). Read at the image at 400 dpi. The sheet prints a five-line table of office against name; her name stands on two of its lines, against Vice President and against Treasurer, and Cecile De Jongh’s on two, against Vice President and against Secretary, with Darren K. Indyke against President. Three ink signatures follow, over the printed names Darren K. Indyke, Cecile De Jongh and Jeanne Brennan, beneath the words “being all of the directors”. Three further copies of the same consent are in the release: https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01584535, produced by JPMorgan Chase under Bates JPM-SDNY-00064415 and carrying a received stamp of June 27, 2008, read at the image at 400 dpi and identical in every office line and every signature; and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01584527 and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01584080, two Bates numbers of a single fax transmission stamped MAR-03-2010(WED) 13:10, read at the image at 400 dpi: the officer table is legible on both and prints Jeanne Brennan against Vice President and against Treasurer, while the optical character recognition of those two lines degrades to “Moore Brennan”. The text layer of this release is unreliable on all three: on EFTA01584535 it renders the Vice President line as “Jaime Brennan” where the sheet prints Jeanne Brennan, and on the two fax copies as “Moore Brennan”. The officer names here are taken from the image of EFTA00300027 p.21, the one clean copy. ↩ ↩2 ↩3 ↩4

Financial Trust Company, Inc., consent of the sole shareholder electing directors, Sept 21, 2007. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA00300027 p.23 (stamped EFTA00300049). Read at the image at 400 dpi. Its first recital is that “on September 21, 2007, Jeffrey E. Epstein resigned as a director of the Corporation and as a result the number of directors of the Corporation has been reduced to two directors”; its second cites the by-law requiring three. It then elects three named persons as directors “effective as of September 21, 2007” — Darren K. Indyke, Cecile De Jongh and Jeanne Brennan, printed in that order — and removes every director not elected by it. Signed over the printed name Jeffrey E. Richard Kahn to Karyna Shuliak, “Fwd: Karyna passport,” May 1, 2018, forwarding her message to Kahn of the same morning. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA00541897 p.1. Read at the image at 300 dpi and, for the entity name, again at 600 dpi: the sheet prints “LSJE, LLC” and the text layer of this release renders that as “WE, LLC”, so a check made against the extraction rather than the image will report the quotation as not found on the page. The quotation here follows the sheet. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

JPMorgan internal email on check shipment, Mar 26, 2013. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01583477 p.1. Read at the image at 400 dpi: the sentence quoted here runs contiguously across a line break on the sheet, and the text layer of this release breaks it apart and reorders the fragments, lifting the final word above the rest and interleaving the signature block, so a substring check made against the extraction reports the quotation as not found. The quotation here follows the sheet. A telephone number blacked out on the sheet sits inside the same sentence and is not reproduced. ↩

“WAPA UPDATE,” Nov 15, 2017. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA02566490 p.1, printed pp.1–2 of 2. Read at the image at 300 dpi. The sheet carries quoted-printable soft breaks on its face — it prints “I =poke with the line crew” and signs off “J=anne” — so the two spans quoted here were chosen because they are undamaged; nothing has been repaired. Her own address in the sender field and the whole of the copy line are blacked out on the sheet. ↩ ↩2

The addressee of the forward and one word of the subject line are blacked out on the sheet; the extraction closes the gap in the subject, so the text layer reads as though nothing were withheld there. ↩ ↩2

The last of these was read at the image at 300 dpi: its sender is blacked out on the sheet, the extraction prints the sender label with nothing after it, and it moves three of the addressees — Ann Rodriquez, Cecile de Jongh and Renato — below the subject and date lines, out of the order in which the sheet prints them. ↩ ↩2

Counts are of documents, not sheets, measured against the full-text index of the released corpus on September 12, 2026. That index is punctuation-blind, so the phrase “Jeanne Brennan Wiebracht” also matches the hyphenated “Jeanne Brennan-Wiebracht.” It returns 244 documents; “Jeanne Brennnan Wiebracht” returns 54, of which 3 carry both spellings and 51 carry only the three-
none. Her surname in its correct spelling returns 504 documents on its own; nine further spellings of it, generated as single-letter variants and then checked one by one against the text around each hit (“Wiebract”, “Wiebrach”, “Wlebracht”, “Webracht”, “iebracht”, “Wiebracnt”, “Wicbracht”, “Wiehracht” and “Wiebraeht”), add 45 documents that carry no correctly spelled form of the surname; three more carry “Brennnan” with no readable surname at all. The union of all of these is 552 documents. The largest group among the 45 is the 34 reached by “Wiebract”: 24 of the 34 carry the subject “Anna’s Salary” on their first sheet and 30 of them a stored date in 2013 or 2014, so they are largely copies of one exchange. The string “Jeanne Brennan Wiebract, CPA” itself, matched with runs of whitespace collapsed to one space, occurs in 36 documents, 31 of which carry no correctly spelled form of the surname; see the next note for what the sheets print. This note cites no identifier because it records a method rather than a document. “Jeanne Brennan” returns 2,826 documents on its own. Of those, 1,927 carry a stored date in the corpus and 623 of them fall between 2016 and 2019, by year 110, 210, 190 and 113, of which nine are cited on this page. The correctly spelled forms therefore reach her later years as well, and the thinness of any account of those years is a fact about which documents have been read rather than about which spelling was searched. ↩ -
Her e-mail signature block as “Jeanne Brennan Wiebract, CPA”, read at the image at 600 dpi on two sheets from different productions and set in different typefaces: https://epstein-data.com/EFTA00675425 p.1 and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01755018 p.1. Both print the surname without its final letter, so the spelling is on the sheets and is not a fault of the extraction. ↩
