Harry I. Beller is an American accountant who worked on Jeffrey Epstein’s finances, latterly through HBRK Associates, Inc., the New York firm he shared with Epstein’s senior accountant Richard Kahn.14 Business Insider reported in November 2025 that he worked for Epstein for 22 years; bank records place him on an Epstein company account opened in October 1998, and he was still writing to Epstein about his own pay in July 2016.456 He held signatory authority on Epstein company accounts at JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank and FirstBank Puerto Rico, sent wire-transfer instructions on Epstein’s JPMorgan accounts, and from 2014 acted as a trustee of an Epstein trust.7289 JPMorgan named him as a subject of Suspicious Activity Reports filed in 2002, 2003 and 2019.101112 In November 2025 a Senate Finance Committee memorandum to Senator Ron Wyden said his conduct merited further investigation; he declined to comment through counsel, and Business Insider reported that he has not been accused of any crime.134
Role and firms
Deutsche Bank’s know-your-customer file records Beller’s profession as “Accountant,” his employer as HBRK Associates, Inc. at 575 Lexington Avenue.1 A JPMorgan party record entered on October 7, 2013 gives his employer as HBRK Associates and his occupation as “Financial Advisor.”14 The Zwirn respondents’ 2011 arbitration brief describes him as “an accountant at FTC”, Financial Trust Company, Inc.15 Business Insider reported in November 2025 that Beller worked for Epstein for 22 years (1992 to 2014) under the direction of Richard Kahn, Epstein’s senior in-house accountant.4 The outlet reported that a pair of 2025 lawsuits by Epstein accusers against banks say HBRK stands for the initials of its two founding members, Harry Beller and Richard Kahn; neither man nor HBRK itself is named as a defendant in those suits, which are brought against the banks.4
Correspondence places HBRK Associates at 301 East 66th Street, Suite 10F, New York, in May 2012 and at 575 Lexington Avenue, 4th Floor, New York, in July 2013; Deutsche Bank’s 2018 file gives the Lexington Avenue address as Beller’s place of work.16171 Earlier, in 2007, JPMorgan’s administration system recorded his work address as Financial Trust Company, 457 Madison Avenue, New York.2
Accounts and signing authority
JPMorgan Chase
A JPMorgan “Online Administration Tool” record printed on November 16, 2007 lists Beller as an authorised user and shows five accounts associated with him: two for Financial Trust Company, Inc. (both “Asset”), one for Hyperion Air Inc. (“DDA”), one for “Jeffrey E Epstein” (“DDA”), and one for “Jeffrey Epstein” (“Asset”).2 Monthly J.P. Morgan Private Bank asset account statements for Jeffrey Epstein, running from July 2004 into 2005, were addressed to “EPSTEIN INTERESTS” for the attention of “HARRY BELLER” at “457 MADISON AVENUE 4TH FLOOR.”181920
A JPMorgan party record describes Beller’s relation type as “Signer” with “Full” powers and zero per cent ownership.14 A J.P. Morgan entity resolution form for Plan D LLC, certified in February 2013 by Epstein’s pilot as the company’s authorised officer, lists Epstein and Beller as the two authorised signers, each able to sign singly.21 On June 25, 2013 Beller, acting as a New York notary public, notarised Epstein’s signature on a J.P. Morgan general durable power of attorney form.3
FirstBank Puerto Rico
FirstBank Puerto Rico’s March 9, 2020 response to a grand jury subpoena from the Southern District of New York lists the accounts it held for Epstein and his companies.7 Beller appears as an authorised signature on ten of them.722523 The same letter was produced again to the SDNY on April 15, 2020 under cover from Holland & Knight, counsel to the bank.24

Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank opened accounts for HBRK Associates, Inc. on October 16, 2013 within its “Epstein, Jeffrey” relationship; the relationship’s party sheet lists HBRK Associates, Richard Kahn and Harry Beller.2526 An undated Deutsche Bank background note prepared for the onboarding of Southern Trust Company, Inc. and Southern Financial LLC records “Inquiry capacity: Jeanne Brennan, Harry Beller, Richard Kahn.”27 A draft ISDA schedule for Southern Trust Company names “Harry Beller; Jeffrey Epstein” as the addressees for notices, and the bank’s ISDA checklist for Southern Financial LLC lists Beller as the primary contact for documentation.2829 A Deutsche Bank KYC representative’s August 2018 email records the authorised signatories of Hyperion Air, LLC as “Harry Beller & Darren Indyke.”30
Beller was also the named contact for the bank’s Butterfly Trust accounts, opened on October 9, 2013.31 Exhibit D of a grand-jury exhibit set drawn from Deutsche Bank records, “Parties to Active / Capitalized Southern Financial Relationship Accounts,” lists Beller and Richard Kahn as the ultimate beneficial owners and the signatories of the HBRK Associates, Inc. checking account, and lists Beller as a signatory on the Hyperion Air, Inc., Hyperion Air, LLC and Butterfly Trust accounts.8 Exhibit C of the same set, “Jeffrey Epstein Affiliates Onboarded by Deutsche Bank,” gives his KYC profession as “Accountant,” lists him as an agent of HBRK Associates, Inc., and records two direct payments to a personal bank account of his totalling $26,000.32
On December 11, 2013 Beller wrote to a Deutsche Bank officer that he would be travelling between December 23 and January 7 and during that time would be “unable to verbally confirm wire transfer requests for all accounts associated with the Jeffrey Epstein and Southern Financial Relationship,” authorising Richard Kahn and a colleague to confirm in his absence.33
Wire instructions
Beller sent wire-transfer instructions to JPMorgan by fax, on Jeffrey Epstein letterhead, over a period of at least six years; memoranda over his name are dated from December 20, 2007 to July 9, 2013.3435 The memoranda are addressed to named private-bank service staff and give the beneficiary bank, account and reference for each payment; the debit account number is redacted on most of them.3637
- May 30, 2008. $100,000 to Lewis Tein, PL at Great Florida Bank, Miami Lakes, Florida, reference “Bill Number 4751,” with the instruction “Please call Rich Kahn with the Fed Reference number.”36
- November 17, 2008. $25,000 to HBRK Associates, Inc. at JPMorgan Chase.37
- September 16, 2009. Six memoranda drawn on one account totalling about $187,000: $50,000 to LSJ, LLC at FirstBank Puerto Rico; $45,854.30 to DPMG, Inc. at Fifth Third Bank; $75,000 to the law firm Atterbury, Goldberger, Richardson & Weiss at Grand Bank, West Palm Beach; $12,985.52 to a contractor, referenced “LSJ Mechanical Building”; $1,700 to a vendor; and $1,466.66 for travel expenses. A seventh memorandum in the same fax, for $150,000 to an aircraft services company, is over Epstein’s own name.38
- May 25, 2010. Four memoranda: $50,000 to LSJ, LLC at FirstBank Puerto Rico; $20,000 to Epstein’s pilot Larry Visoski, referenced “Promissory Note”; $4,022.37 to a realty escrow account for Lafayette Contractors’ June rent; and $2,000 to a vendor.39
On February 19, 2014 Beller forwarded to Deutsche Bank a JPMorgan confirmation that two wires were being released the same day: $911,807.66 from Southern Trust Company, Inc. and $10,397,099.07 from Southern Financial LLC.40
Cash management and reporting to Epstein
On January 10, 2013 Beller emailed Epstein, copying Richard Kahn: “We need to fund your checking account for $1 million.”41 He set out the cash then available ($19 million and $2.6 million in two managed Financial Trust Company accounts, $11 million in a JPMorgan account, and $5.5 million at Jeepers) and asked where the funding should come from; he followed up the next day.41
Epstein’s schedule for December 10, 2012, circulated by his assistant, records “4:00 Appt w/Rich Kahn and Harry Beller.”42
NES LLC checks and suspicious activity reports
JPMorgan Chase filed two Suspicious Activity Reports in 2002 and 2003 naming Beller as Subject 1 and NES LLC, at 457 Madison Avenue, 4th Floor, as Subject 2.1011 Both classify the activity as money laundering and structuring, and both record Beller’s occupation as “LAWYER” and NES LLC’s type of business as “LAW FIRM”, descriptions that do not match any other record of his work.1011 The transcripts carry the standard FinCEN warning that suspicious activity reports “contain unsubstantiated allegations of possible criminal activity, akin to confidential informant tips.”10
- Filed December 16, 2002 (BSA 30000027950492). Amount involved $1,925,000; activity dated September 12 to December 16, 2002.10 The narrative lists the checks cashed against the NES LLC account, all but two of them for $9,800, and states that the account had been credited eleven times from an account in Jeffrey E. Epstein’s name at Colonial Bank in Birmingham, Alabama, for a total of $1,925,000.10 This narrative does not name the person who signed the checks or those who presented them.10
- Filed April 15, 2003 (BSA 30000028091513), recording Beller’s middle name as “L.” Amount involved $166,600; activity dated February 2 to March 14, 2003.11 The narrative lists seventeen further $9,800 checks and adds: “NOTE: ALL THE CHECKS ARE PAYABLE TO CASH WITH MEMO PETTY CASH AND SIGNED BY HARRY BELLER.”11 It states that a majority of the checks were cashed by Beller and by one other person authorised on the account, records the account’s authorised signers as “JEFFREY EPSTEIN—MEMBER GHISLAINE MAXWELL,” and refers to prior SARs filed on 03/29/02 and 12/17/02.11
A comprehensive SAR filed by JPMorgan Chase Bank and J.P. Morgan Securities in 2019 reports 4,725 wire transactions totalling $1,081,819,653 between October 1, 2003 and July 22, 2019 and names “HARRY I BELLER” among the customers and former customers involved, alongside Epstein and Epstein entities.12
JPMorgan’s own July 2013 high-risk review of the Epstein relationship rated the client high risk on the ground that “Owner, Jeffrey Epstein, is a convicted felon,” while recording that an internal database search “revealed prior GS&I research for [redacted] LLC, Ghislaine Maxwel, and Harry Beller and nothing derogatory to report.”43
Butterfly Trust
On October 31, 2014 Darren K. Indyke and Richard Kahn, then the sole trustees of the Butterfly Trust (created under a trust agreement dated December 27, 2006 with Epstein as grantor), designated Harry I. Beller a successor trustee, effective on the death, resignation or removal of either or both of them.9 Beller signed his acceptance the same day, as did Erika A. Kellerhals under a parallel instrument.944
Within weeks Beller and Kellerhals were named in the trust’s own instruments as its current acting trustees.4546 One of those instruments declared that the trust’s assets would be administered in Delaware and the U.S. Virgin Islands so that it would be a domestic trust for United States tax purposes; the released copies of it are signed by Kellerhals alone, her acknowledgment dated December 5, 2014, with the signature rule above Beller’s printed name, the New York acknowledgment and the grantor’s receipt all left blank.45 A second instrument removed Ghislaine Maxwell as a beneficiary under Article Third of the trust agreement and made further changes to the beneficiaries; it is signed by both trustees, receipted by Epstein as grantor, and acknowledged on December 5, 2014 for Kellerhals and December 9, 2014 for Beller.46 Deutsche Bank’s own timeline of the Butterfly Trust dates that beneficiary change to December 9, 2014.47 Beller and Kellerhals signed a Deutsche Bank Wealth Management consent form for the account titled “Butterfly Trust” as its trustees on October 1, 2018.48
Compensation and related payments
On November 28, 2012 six checks of $13,000 each, $78,000 in total, were drawn on Epstein’s JPMorgan private bank account and made payable to members of Beller’s family.495051525354
In a June 28, 2016 email to Epstein, Richard Kahn wrote that his understanding was that “harry total compensation as of sep 1 2016 thru aug 31 2017 will be 70,000” and that until then Epstein would “pay 7000 per month and tuition”; he was forwarding a request from Beller to process a tuition payment.55 On July 13, 2016 Beller emailed Epstein: “Thank you very much for your tuition assistance for my children. I greatly appreciate all that you have done for me over the years.”6
The Zwirn and Fortress arbitration
Financial Trust Company, Inc. and Jeepers, Inc. were counter-claimants in a JAMS arbitration, reference number 1425006537, brought by Fortress VRF 1 LLC and Fortress Value Recovery Fund 1 LLC against Jeepers, Inc., and counter-claiming against D.B. Zwirn Special Opportunities Fund, L.P. and related Zwirn entities and Daniel Zwirn.56 A scheduling order dated February 28, 2011 records the parties’ agreement that Epstein would be deposed first, Daniel Zwirn second, and Glenn Dubin, Harry Beller and David Lee, described as non-party witnesses, third.56
The dispute turned on whether Zwirn had promised to honour a November 13, 2006 demand that the fund immediately liquidate $80 million of Financial Trust Company’s interest.15 The Zwirn respondents’ pre-hearing brief states that on that day Beller telephoned Zwirn to ask when the investments could be redeemed and was told they were subject to two-year rolling lock-ups; that after the fax arrived, the fund’s acting chief financial officer David Lee told Beller the company had no right to immediate redemption and Beller said nothing about any promise; that Beller called Lee again in late January 2007 demanding payment; and that Beller had further conversations with junior fund staff about the value of the investments.1557 Lee testified to the same November 2006 call at his deposition, recalling that he told Beller the investments were subject to lock-ups and that there was no right to immediate withdrawal.58 The claimants’ brief describes Beller as “Mr. Epstein’s accountant, who sent the withdrawal request,” and says that at his own deposition he recalled little of the period other than that he had not discussed lock-ups with Zwirn until February 2007; Epstein had submitted an errata sheet altering his testimony on the same point.59
Beller reported to Epstein on the matter afterwards: on May 24, 2011 he emailed that “the total fees paid by FTC/JEEPERS to Zwirn was $24,514,951 ($13,244,319 incentive fees and $11,270,632 management fees),” excluding roughly $350,000 paid to Fortress.60 On December 8, 2011 he asked Epstein, “may I call you to discuss the NAV of the Zwirn fund.”61 On May 14, 2012 Richard Kahn told Epstein that “harry beller is still cleaning up his analysis.”16 An earlier email of February 14, 2007 from David Lee forwarded Beller a Zwirn financial schedule with the note that it had been sent to him and “reviewed with him in excruciating detail.”62
Congressional reports and legal status
A November 19, 2025 memorandum from a Senate Finance Committee investigator to Senator Ron Wyden devotes a section to Beller, concluding that he “was an integral part of Epstein’s financial operation and his potential links to sex trafficking crimes merits further investigation.”13 It states that JPMorgan SARs unsealed in federal court show he had power of attorney over Epstein’s accounts at the bank and withdrew large sums in cash at Epstein’s direction, and that in 2013 the bank’s compliance staff identified more than $920,000 in cash withdrawals between 2009 and 2013 “all conducted in NY by POA Harry Beller.”13
Reporting on that memorandum on November 20, 2025, Business Insider said that Beller declined to comment through counsel and that he “hasn’t been accused of any crimes and there is no record of a federal agency pursuing an enforcement action against him.”4 The same report said he had invoked the Fifth Amendment rather than respond to document subpoenas in a deposition in litigation brought by the attorney Sigrid McCawley against Indyke and Kahn.4
Senator Wyden’s August 4, 2026 report Looking the Other Way repeats the memorandum’s conclusions, groups Beller with Indyke and Kahn as the aides who “served as financial intermediaries for Epstein and had signatory authority or power of attorney over Epstein’s accounts at JPMC and Deutsche Bank,” states that federal prosecutors have never questioned the three in connection with the Epstein or Maxwell investigations, and recommends that the Department of Justice open criminal investigations into them.63

Sheet 1 at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01375247 p.1 and sheet 2 at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01375248 p.1, consecutive in the producing party’s Bates sequence; further copies of sheet 1 at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01373631 p.1 and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01385565 p.1. On sheet 2 the printed month “November” is struck through in ink with “December” written above it and the day written in by hand; read from the page image, the correction checked on the scan’s own raster rather than an enlarged render. On sheet 1 the rule above Kellerhals’s printed name carries a signature and the rule above Beller’s is blank; in one of the released copies her signature sits under a redaction bar. A further copy of this instrument sits at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01418923 pp.7–8 and the desk does not cite it: that copy is not a scan of the document but a rendering of it — uniform monospaced type on a clean white field, with no paper grain, no skew, no ink and no signatures — and it carries none of the handwritten corrections, garbles the month, garbles a trustee’s surname, and runs the boundary between two sheets into the middle of one page. ↩ ↩2

“Butterfly Trust — Deletion and Addition of Beneficiaries,” acknowledged December 5 and December 9, 2014. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01282297 pp.17–18. On both acknowledgments the printed month “November” is struck through in blue ink with “December” written above it; the day is written in as the 9th for Beller before a New York notary on sheet 1 and as the 5th for Kellerhals before a Virgin Islands notary on sheet 2. The grantor’s receipt at the foot of sheet 2 carries the same struck month and is signed; the day written on it is crossed by the signature and is not read here. Read from the page images, the corrections checked on the scan’s own raster rather than an enlarged render. Further copies of sheet 2, at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01373633 p.1 and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01385566 p.1, carry the same correction. The copy at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01418923 pp.8–9 is not cited: it is a rendering of the instrument rather than a scan — uniform monospaced type, no paper grain, no ink, no signatures — and it loses the handwritten corrections, prints the surname as “BEELER” where the scans print “BELLER”, garbles the month, and runs a page boundary into the middle of a page. ↩ ↩2

“Exhibit E: Timeline of The Butterfly Trust,” in the grand-jury exhibit set drawn from Deutsche Bank records. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01681865 p.14. Its row for December 9, 2014 reads: “Harry Beller and Erika Kellerhals are identified in trust documents as ‘acting trustees.’” Read from the page image; the text layer of this page is damaged and renders the first two words as “H Beller”. ↩

Deutsche Bank Wealth Management “Consent to Electronic Delivery of Materials and Communications,” account title “Butterfly Trust,” signed by Harry I Beller and Erika A Kellerhals, each entered as an authorised signatory with the title “Trustee”. https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01378959 p.1. Both signature rules carry ink and both date fields are written in by hand as “10/1/2018”; read from the page image, magnified on the scan’s own raster. Two further copies of the same form for the same account, at https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01353399 p.1 and https://epstein-data.com/EFTA01393091 p.1, print the two names and titles but leave both signature rules and both date fields blank, and neither carries an execution date. ↩
