Glenn Dubin is a New York hedge-fund manager who co-founded Highbridge Capital Management, LLC; a 2005 consulting agreement’s signature block names him there as “Co-Chief Executive Officer,” though the released copy of that page carries no signature.1 The Wall Street Journal reported that JPMorgan Chase bought control of Highbridge in 2004.4 In 1994 he married Eva Andersson, who had dated Jeffrey Epstein in the 1980s; Epstein testified that he met Dubin about 1993 as her fiancé and that the two became friends about 2000, when Epstein began investing with Highbridge.23 In December 2004 Epstein’s Financial Trust Company, Inc. invoiced Highbridge $15,000,000 for “Fees for merger and acquisition advice”, paid by wire the next day, and from June 2005 Highbridge retained Financial Trust Company, with Epstein assigned to perform the services, under a five-year, $2.25 million consulting agreement.561 Dubin executed an affidavit that was used in a 2010 arbitration over a hedge fund he had recommended to Epstein and was a party to its 2011 settlement.78 In an FBI interview in March 2011 Virginia Giuffre alleged that she had been paid for sex by Dubin when she was sixteen, after Epstein introduced her to the Dubins as a massage client.9 The New York Times reported that a spokeswoman for the Dubins said in July 2019 that they were “horrified by the new allegations” against Epstein and that Dubin’s business relationship with him “was extremely limited”.10
Background
Dubin co-founded Highbridge Capital Management; a 2005 consulting agreement’s signature block names him as “Co-Chief Executive Officer” of Highbridge Capital Management, LLC, though the released copy is unsigned.1 The Journal reported in 2011 that he was a founding board member of the Robin Hood Foundation and joined the Mount Sinai Board of Trustees in 2004, and in 2019 that JPMorgan bought control of Highbridge in 2004.114 His wife testified in 2021 that he was self-employed in the financial industry.2
Relationship with Epstein
Epstein testified in April 2011 that he met Dubin “roughly 18 years ago” as “the fiancé of a former girlfriend”, that Eva Andersson introduced them, that he attended their wedding, that he began investing with Dubin in 2000 and that the relationship became “more personal” about two years later.3 The Journal reported, citing a person close to Dubin, that Dubin, “accompanied by Ms. Andersson, met Mr. Epstein at a political fundraiser Mr. Epstein hosted” in the early 1990s.4 Juan Alessi, who gave his job title at Epstein’s Palm Beach house as “in charge of the running of the house”,12 testified that Andersson-Dubin came to the house “very regular”.13 Direct email between them dates from 2010 to November 2018.1415
Highbridge and Epstein’s money
Investments and the December 2004 payment
Epstein testified that he first invested with Highbridge in about 2000, “probably between 50 and 100 million” of his own money, that he added to it “more than 10, less than 30” times, that his investments there totalled “more than 300 million”, and that he held “less than a hundred million” with the firm in April 2011.3
On December 28, 2004, Financial Trust Company, Inc. of St. Thomas sent Ron Resnick at Highbridge a one-page letter reading “Fees for merger and acquisition advice: Amount due: $15,000,000”, with wire instructions to Bear Stearns for the credit of Financial Trust Company; the letter bears a handwritten annotation “OK to pay immediately” and initials.5 A wire of $15,000,000.00 to Bear Stearns & Company “f/f/c Financial Trust Company, Inc.” was processed on December 29, 2004.6 The Journal reported in 2019 that Epstein “earned a fee of around $15 million from Highbridge” at the time of the JPMorgan purchase, that one source said the fee “stemmed from Mr. Epstein’s role introducing Mr. Dubin to Mr. Staley years earlier”, that co-founder Henry Swieca was among those confused about its purpose, and that Epstein was listed on the deal documents as an adviser on the Highbridge side without public disclosure.4 Fortress asserted in a pre-hearing brief that Dubin had paid Epstein $20 million in connection with an introduction to JPMorgan Chase; that figure is an advocate’s assertion and is not reconciled with the $15 million invoice.16 See Jes Staley and JPMorgan Chase.
The 2005 consulting agreement
A consulting agreement effective June 1, 2005 between Highbridge Capital Management, LLC and Financial Trust Company, Inc. provides that “The Consultant will assign Jeffrey Epstein to perform all of the services contemplated herein”, a fee of $2,250,000 “payable annually in five (5) equal installments of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand dollars ($450,000) per annum”, and the right for funds of the consultant or Epstein to be invested in Highbridge vehicles, up to 0.85 percent of Highbridge Master L.P.’s assets, on the fee terms available to employees.1 The signature block names Dubin for Highbridge and Epstein for Financial Trust Company, but both signature lines are blank in the released copy.1 A June 24, 2005 fax from Resnick to Darren Indyke, copied to Dubin, reads “The revised Consulting Agreement follows for your review (blackline version)” and accompanied this copy of the agreement.1
The Zwirn fund and the Fortress arbitration
In an affidavit sworn February 3, 2010, Dubin stated that from 2002 an entity he owned held interests in the general partner and manager of the D.B. Zwirn Special Opportunities Fund, that “One of the early investors that I introduced to Zwirn was Jeffrey Epstein”, that Epstein “was both a personal friend of mine and a long-time investor in HCC”, and that in 2006 he took part in a three-way call in which Epstein demanded redemption of Financial Trust Company’s capital account and agreed to withdraw $80 million.7 The same day Epstein emailed him, “If you can get the affadavit to Darren today I’d appreciate it”.14 Epstein testified that he invested in the fund in 2002 “solely” on Dubin’s recommendation, negotiated his lock-up terms with Dubin rather than with Daniel Zwirn, and met Zwirn once.3 The New York Times reported that Epstein invested up to $80 million through Financial Trust and that the investment was worth $140 million at its peak.10
The dispute became a JAMS arbitration, Fortress VRF I LLC v. Jeepers, Inc. (Ref. No. 1425006537).3 The Zwirn respondents served subpoenas duces tecum dated November 9, 2010 on Highbridge and on Dubin; both served responses and objections.1718 A February 2011 scheduling order listed Dubin as the first non-party witness to be deposed, ahead of Harry Beller.19 Fortress’s lawyers challenged the independence and reliability of the affidavit in a pre-hearing brief; that was their position, not an arbitral finding.16 On June 13, 2011 Fortress’s counsel wrote that “a settlement meeting has been set up for tomorrow regarding the Epstein matter. We understand that Jeffrey Epstein, Pete Briger and Glenn Dubin will attend”; Dubin’s assistant at Highbridge confirmed the meeting at Briger’s office, and it appears on Epstein’s schedule for June 14.202122 A settlement agreement effective August 1, 2011 was made among Fortress, “the Epstein Parties” (Epstein, Jeepers, Inc. and Financial Trust Company), the Zwirn parties and Glenn Dubin as a party in his own right; it recites Financial Trust Company’s investments in the fund of $10 million on May 1, 2002, $10 million on September 1, 2002, $30 million on December 1, 2002, $10 million on June 1, 2003 and $20 million on January 1, 2005, provides for liquidation payments on a “Dubin Interest”, and releases Dubin, Dubin Swieca Asset Management, Highbridge and JPMorgan Chase & Co.8
In March 2013 Epstein asked Dubin for “some insight into zwirn corbin, I have gotten only 7 million so far from brigger, and zero from zwirn”; Dubin replied, “I have zero insight as to what’s going on with Briger. What is supposed to happen with Zwirn/Corbin? I can ask Corbin.”23
Later banking records
In a Deutsche Bank email thread of August 10, 2018 about a Jeepers, Inc. wire, Liam Osullivan told Bella Klein that he “may be asked why” $17,849.13 had come in that day from Bank of America and was going straight out again, and asked her for “a short description of the incoming and outgoing movements so I will be prepared if asked to explain”; answering that request, Klein wrote, “money belong to Glenn Dubin”. Osullivan then asked “why did it have to go from Bank of America to DB to JPM? Is there a relationship between Jeepers Inc and Dubin?”; Klein’s reply to that was “Please talk to Stewart and let him call Rich to discuss.” Later the same day Osullivan forwarded the exchange to Stewart Oldfield, writing that he had asked for the description “in anticipation of Pershing asking me for an explanation. Pershing hasn’t, and may not, ask for an explanation. They usually do though when money comes in and goes out the same day.”24 A JPMorgan Chase suspicious activity report covering 4,725 wire transactions from 2003 to 2019 involving Epstein and associated persons and entities lists “GLENN RUSSELL DUBIN” and “EVA BIRGITTA ANDERSSON-DUBIN” among the parties to the transactions; the report is a bank filing, not a finding about any listed person.25
Epstein’s estate documents
Epstein’s estate instruments, trusts and wills from 2001 to 2017, named Eva Andersson-Dubin, not Dubin, as a beneficiary, trustee or successor executor; the individual instruments are set out on her page.2627282930 The released copy of the June 29, 2017 will, EFTA01266268, carries the word “REVOKED” written by hand across its first page; a second released copy of the same will, filed with the June 2017 restated trust, does not carry that marking.30
Virginia Giuffre’s allegation
On March 9, 2011 an Assistant U.S. Attorney in West Palm Beach emailed colleagues after meeting Brad Edwards, Edwards’s investigator Mike Fisten and one of Edwards’s law partners, Steve Jaffe, listing the people Fisten said Giuffre had been made to have sex with; the list includes “Glenn Dubin (founder of Highbridge Capital)”.31 The prosecutor had by then spoken to Giuffre only briefly and was arranging a formal interview.31
The FBI interviewed Giuffre on March 17, 2011. Its FD-302 records her account that Epstein introduced her to Eva, whom the agents believed to be Eva Andersson Dubin, and to Eva’s husband Glenn Dubin in Palm Beach as her first massage client; that she performed a massage for Eva; that she then had sexual contact with Dubin, for which she said she was paid; and that she “was 16 years old at the time she had sex with DUBIN”.9 Shown a series of photographs, she identified “Page 4, number 7, GLEN DUBIN”.9 This is Giuffre’s allegation as recorded by the interviewing agents.9 The 2019 statement quoted above addressed the Dubin-Epstein business relationship and did not respond to this allegation; no response from Dubin to it appears in the documents cited on this page.
In Giuffre v. Maxwell (S.D.N.Y. 15-cv-07433), Giuffre’s counsel Sigrid McCawley asked the court in April 2016 to enforce a request for Maxwell’s “communications with … Emmy Taylor, Sarah Kellen, Eva Dubin, Glen Dubin, Jean Luc Brunel and Nadia Marcinkova” from 1999, and on May 13, 2016 subpoenaed Epstein for “All Documents relating to, and all media depicting” a list of individuals that includes “Eva Dubin, Glen Dubin”; the same request went to Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinkova.3233
United States v. Maxwell
Dubin’s name was on the list read to prospective jurors at Ghislaine Maxwell’s 2021 trial.34 Pilot Lawrence Visoski, asked whether Dubin was one of Epstein’s clients, said “I don’t know if he was a client. I know he was a friend.”35 His wife testified for the defense on December 17, 2021; see Eva Andersson-Dubin.2
Named in the House record
On August 31, 2026 Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky was recognised for one minute in the House of Representatives, under the heading “Bring Epstein Perpetrators to Justice.” He said that a year after the Epstein Files Transparency Act was signed “the government continues to withhold over 3 million files,” and that a second bill, the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, had been introduced. He then said: “We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted, men like:” and read a list of thirteen men and one woman, among them Glenn Dubin, closing: “Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice.”36 The other thirteen names are not reproduced here. This is a Member’s statement made under privilege on the floor of the House. It is not a charge, a referral, an indictment or a finding, and being named in it is not evidence of anything. No response from Dubin to these remarks appears in the sources cited on this page.
