JEGE, LLC was a Virgin Islands company of Jeffrey Epstein’s, addressed at 6100 Red Hook Quarter, B3, Saint Thomas, with an account at Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas in New York.31 It owned a 1988 Gulfstream Aerospace G-IV, and it was the client of record for the September 2014 charter flight taken by Gary King.567 In 2019 its membership interest was sold, with Epstein’s lawyer Darren Indyke signing as agent for the seller.52 The offer itself describes JEGE, LLC as “a U.S. Virgin Islands corporation,” whereas its certificate of existence and the FAA registration filing both describe it as a limited liability company.512
Formation
A certificate of existence issued by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands on September 13, 2018 states that JEGE, LLC filed articles of organization on October 19, 2012, that the company is duly organized under Virgin Islands law, that its duration is perpetual, and that articles of termination have not been filed.1
Aircraft
A LexisNexis “Comprehensive Business Report” created on June 15, 2017 for Deutsche Bank’s due-diligence file lists, for JEGE LLC, no current or prior executives, no registered agents and no real property, and two aircraft records.4 Both are for a 1988 Gulfstream Aerospace G-IV with the serial number 1085, registered to JEGE LLC at the Red Hook address, and both carry the registration date May 30, 2013; one is marked current, under the tail number 212JE, and the other prior, under 423TT.4 The report prints a caution that the public records it draws on contain errors and should not be relied on as definitively accurate.4
The 2014 King contributions
The campaign of Gary King for governor recorded two contributions from the company. The first, $5,000 dated July 7, 2014, appears in the campaign’s First General report of September 8 as “JEGE, LLC” and in state data filed on October 14 as “JEGE, Inc.”; the second was $5,200 dated September 1, 2014.89 The September contribution matches JEGE, LLC check #1037, dated August 27, 2014, payable to “Gary King for Governor” for $5,200 and carrying a handwritten signature on the authorized-signature line whose forename reads “Darren”, the surname being a continuous scrawl the scan does not resolve; the bank’s processing stamps read September 5 and September 8, 2014.3 Both contributions appear among the seven “Refunded Contribution” entries dated September 12, 2014, one entered as “JEGE, LLC” and one as “JEGE, Inc.”10
The 2014 charter
The operator Injet quoted trip #23274, a Hawker 800XP from Santa Fe to Washington Dulles on September 8, 2014, in a quotation of August 25 “Prepared For: Larry Visoski / Jege LLC” at a total of $22,060.90; its trip information sheet for the same trip number names Jege LLC as the client and Visoski as the contact.67 The campaign, not JEGE, reported paying Injet $22,060.90 on September 5, recorded as “private plane.”10
Bank due diligence
On June 15, 2017 Deutsche Bank’s private wealth research unit ran a know-your-customer search on JEGE, LLC. Its summary sheet records “No Hit” on the two watch-list screens, no court cases and no Dun & Bradstreet information, and one negative media result: the Santa Fe New Mexican’s report of September 9, 2014 on the King contributions, reproduced in full elsewhere in the same file.11
A Deutsche Bank exhibit prepared for the grand jury, listing payments to Epstein-affiliated individuals and entities not onboarded by the bank, records five payments totalling $32,879 from a JEGE, LLC account and eight totalling $17,010 from a JEGE, Inc. account, to two different men, each of whom the exhibit describes as a pilot or a likely pilot used by Epstein; the beneficiary bank is given as “TBD” for both rows, and a note attached to the JEGE, LLC row says the check payments had not yet been traced.12
The 2019 sale
On April 5, 2019 Aviation Development Group, LLC, a Georgia company, made a binding offer of $3,250,000 for one hundred per cent of the membership interests of JEGE, LLC, addressed to “Darren K. Indyke, Esq., Agent of Seller of capital stock of JEGE, LLC” at 575 Lexington Avenue, 4th Floor, and describing the company as the owner of the Gulfstream G-IV, serial number 1085, “currently registered in the United States as N120JE.”5 The copy in the release is signed for the buyer by its member and, under the heading “Accepted,” by Indyke as “Agent for Seller”; the signature page carries no date line for either party. A notices block on the following page has a “Date:” line filled in for the buyer and left blank for the seller.5 An amendment to the aircraft’s FAA registration statement, effective June 26, 2019 and stamped as accepted on August 1, 2019, names JEGE, LLC’s member as Aviation Development Group, LLC and its manager as a named individual, marked “individual” on the form; the offer’s own signature block identifies the same person as the buyer’s signing member.25
