EFTA01348584 is a single page in Data Set 10 carrying a bank image copy of a check drawn on an account of JEGE, LLC, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s companies, and payable to the 2014 campaign of Gary King for governor of New Mexico. The face of the check is reproduced above an enlargement of the code line printed along its foot. It is not the original instrument: the copy carries the legend “This is a LEGAL COPY of your check. You can use it the same way you would use the original check.”1

The check is numbered 1037 and dated 8/27/2014. It is drawn on the account of “JEGE, LLC / JEFFREY EPSTEIN” at Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, New York, at the Saint Thomas address JEGE printed on its checks, and is payable to the order of “Gary King for Governor” for $5,200.00, written out as “Five Thousand Two Hundred and 00/100.” The memo line is blank. The authorized-signature line carries a handwritten signature. At high resolution the forename resolves as “Darren”; the surname is a single continuous scrawl that does not resolve into separate letters, consistent with but not confirming “Indyke.”1 Darren Indyke is documented elsewhere as JEGE’s authorized signer, in a 2019 sale of the company’s membership interest;2 the check is not signed by Epstein.1

Bank processing marks on the copy are dated 09/05/2014 and 09/08/2014. The page carries two production stamps, DB-SDNY-0035502 and SDNY_GM_00181686, and is marked “CONFIDENTIAL - PURSUANT TO FED. R. CRIM. P. 6(e).”1

Context

On June 17, 2014, King wrote to Epstein thanking him “for your personal commitment to raise $50,000.00 for my campaign” and noting that under New Mexico law “individuals, PACs and corporations can contribute up to $5,200 per election cycle” because “each separate corporation is considered to be a separate giver and can give up to the maximum allowed, as long as the entity was not formed solely for the purpose of giving.”3 The $5,200 check is at that per-entity maximum. It is dated two days after Epstein wrote that a charter flight for King could be paid for “through two diffent entities 10 4,” the misspelling as printed,4 though the campaign, not JEGE, reported paying the charter operator $22,060.90 on September 5, 2014.5 The campaign’s First General report records a $5,200 contribution from JEGE, LLC dated September 1, 2014, and its Second General report records a “Refunded Contribution” entry of $5,200 to JEGE, LLC dated September 12, 2014.65 King told Reuters in March 2026, “I personally told Mr. Epstein that the campaign would NOT accept contributions from him as a result of his admitted criminal activities.”7
