⚠ what this page is about, and what it is not

A seven-year correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, in which the scheduling is often Thiel’s initiative. The clearest documented episode is a dinner in May 2014 that he proposed, asked a former Israeli prime minister to join, and offered to host. No allegation against him was found anywhere in the release, and none is made here. ⚠ Nothing in this page places him on Epstein’s island or aircraft, and nothing in it excludes it either; the page says which.

Peter Thiel corresponded with Jeffrey Epstein from 2012 until January 2019. The traffic is overwhelmingly arrangements: who is in which city, whose house, which evening. What the documents show that a reader would not assume is how often the approach runs from Thiel toward Epstein.

The dinner of 18 May 2014

The thread runs over four days and is on one sheet, read at the image.2

  • 18 May, 13:20: Epstein: “yes lets do dinner tonite, why don’t you come to my house. at 730 . barak has heavy security.”
  • 18 May, 17:29: Thiel: “OK, cool. I’ll see you there at 7:30pm tonight. Looking forward to it.”

⚠ Three of the six messages are his, and the two substantive moves are his: proposing the dinner, and asking whether Ehud Barak would join it. Epstein’s contribution is to relocate it to 9 East 71st Street, on the stated ground of Barak’s security.

⚠⚠ WHAT THE SHEET DOES NOT SAY. It does not record that the dinner took place, who attended, or what was discussed. The page reports an arrangement, which is what the document is.2

The island invitation

On 11 April 2014 Epstein wrote to him: “thorbjorn jagland will be on the island for the entire next week, come visit”. Thiel replied the next day: “April is not looking great for me… How long are you out here for?”, and proposed New York in May instead.3

⚠ That is a declined week and not a declined invitation, and the page does not dress it as either. ⚠⚠ Whether he ever visited the island is not established here in either direction. The island’s shorthand co-occurs with his name in dozens of documents, but those are Epstein’s schedules, which carry his own island movements and other people’s meetings on the same sheet; co-occurrence on a page is not presence. The desk did not open all of them and says so rather than reporting a zero.3

How the contact was arranged

In late 2012 the approach ran through an intermediary. Ian Osborne wrote to Epstein under the subject “Peter’s schedule”, apologising that “it is proving so difficult to get you together” and proposing coasts and dates.4 By 2014 Thiel is writing directly, and the intermediary drops out of the arrangement traffic.

What the 2,376 documents are

A count this size has been an artefact three times on this wiki, so it was measured first.1

  • 2,554 pages across 2,376 documents, 1.07 pages per document. Not a running head.
  • The corpus types 2,078 of them as e-mail headers, then 70 footer-only, 57 calendar, 23 scanned images and 20 miscellaneous, with 38 untyped.
  • His subject lines are overwhelmingly bare: Re: 256 times, RE: 92, RE: Re: 58, twenty-one with no subject at all. ⚠ That is the signature of a running two-way exchange and not of a circular or a mailing list, which was the first thing tested.

What this page does not say

No allegation against him was found anywhere in the release.5

Nothing here says he invested with Epstein, took advice from him, or introduced anyone to him. ⚠ The correspondence is about meeting, and the page does not extrapolate from a calendar to a relationship it cannot document.
