Perry Bard is a chiropractor in Palm Beach County, Florida, and he was Jeffrey Epstein’s chiropractor. He appears in the released files in two separate strata that do not touch each other. In 2006 and 2007 he is an object of the federal investigation of Epstein: a telephone number the Palm Beach police subpoenaed came back registered to him, a federal grand jury commanded him to appear and to bring his billing statements, payment records, appointment books, treatment notes and correspondence relating to Epstein, and the investigation’s own contact list carries him under the heading “Chiropractor”.5162 From December 2013 to April 2019 he is a fixture of Epstein’s household arrangements. Epstein’s office booked him to attend Epstein at his Palm Beach house and at his New York townhouse, sent him Epstein’s X-rays, asked him whether the “physical therapy” Epstein wanted was something he did, lodged him in Epstein’s Manhattan apartments on at least six occasions, and once introduced Epstein to a third doctor in a subject line that gave Epstein’s name and then, in a parenthesis, called him a friend of the chiropractor. On one Saturday afternoon in August 2014 his practice wrote back during the appointment hour to say that he was there, which is the only place in the material read for this page where a visit is recorded as having happened rather than as having been arranged.813141510916

Nothing on this page is a finding of wrongdoing. He is not accused of anything in any document read for this page, and no document read for this page suggests that he knew of any offence. Treating a patient is not a finding, and the second stratum of this record is, on its face, a doctor seeing a patient. What makes it worth a page is that the patient was a registered sex offender whose chiropractor had already been subpoenaed for his treatment notes, that the doctor travelled to the patient rather than the other way round, and that the arrangement ran for more than five years after the conviction and was still running three months before Epstein’s arrest.

What the documents call him

The released record calls him a chiropractor four times, in four different registers, and never calls him anything else.

The federal grand jury subpoena is addressed, in its own TO block, to “Perry Bard, DC / Health First Chiropractic Center”.1 The United States Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation put him on the Operation Leap Year contact list under a one-word heading, “Chiropractor”.2 A Palm Beach Police Department incident-report narrative records that “Dr. Bard is a chiropractor and has an office” in West Palm Beach.5 And Epstein’s own office, keeping a list headed “JE’s NYC and PB Doctors Contacts”, enters him under “Palm Beach” as “2) Dr. Perry Bard-chiropractor”.3

The one place the record shows anybody inside Epstein’s household unsure of the point, the answer comes back from the practice itself. On 15 October 2015 an Epstein assistant wrote to the practice to say that Epstein had asked her to book him physical therapy for the Sunday and Monday he would be in Palm Beach, and to ask, apologetically, whether that was Dr Bard at all, since she had understood him to be a chiropractor and did not know whether the two were the same thing or whether he did both. She added that she had booked him for Epstein very many times. The reply next morning did not answer the question about qualifications. It separated the two appointments instead: the doctor would see Epstein in Palm Beach at eleven on the Sunday, and Epstein could come to the office on the Monday if he wanted physical therapy.15

2006: a subscriber check in the Palm Beach police file

The earliest dated appearance located is in the Palm Beach Police Department’s own case narrative. Narrative #34 of case 1-05-000368, reported by Detective Joseph Recarey and dated 9 January 2006, runs onto a second sheet in the middle of a sentence. The first sheet ends “I received a fax from Verizon from the subpoena request sent on”. The second opens with the date of that request, 4 January 2006, and with the number it concerned, and continues: “The phone number is registered to Dr ▮ Bard, from West Palm Beach. Dr. Bard is a chiropractor and has an office” at an address in West Palm Beach, and “The cellular number is Dr Bard’s personal cellular number.”5

Two things about that passage. The forename is covered on the sheet, so the police report does not itself say which Dr Bard; the identification on this page rests on the chiropractic practice and the city, and on the fact that the same investigation’s contact list names Perry Bard, DC, of West Palm Beach as its chiropractor.2 And the report, on these two sheets, does not say why that number was of interest, who gave it to the police, or what was done with the answer. This page does not supply a reason. The pages either side of the passage concern other witnesses entirely and nothing from them is reproduced here.

2007: the grand jury subpoena

On 2 March 2007 the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida issued a Subpoena to Testify Before Grand Jury, numbered FGJ 07-103(WPB)-Tues./No. OLY-38, addressed to “Perry Bard, DC / Health First Chiropractic Center” in West Palm Beach.1

Both boxes in the “SUBPOENA FOR:” row carry a typed X: PERSON and DOCUMENTS OR OBJECT[S]. He was commanded to appear in the Grand Jury Room of the United States District Courthouse at 701 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, on 13 March 2007 at 1:00 pm, and:

All documents referring or relating to Jeffrey Epstein, including but not limited to billing statements, record of payments, appointment books, treatment notes, and correspondence.1

A starred note on the face of the form directs him to coordinate his compliance and to confirm the date, time and location of his appearance with a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. That note is described here and not quoted, because a producer’s bar crosses it; the agent’s name and telephone are covered. The Assistant United States Attorney’s name, telephone and fax are covered; the form gives the office address as 500 So. Australian Avenue, Suite 400. The CLERK rule is blank. The (BY) DEPUTY CLERK rule carries a cursive ink mark written across the court’s embossed seal; this page does not say who made it.1

The same subpoena is a row in the investigation’s own Grand Jury Subpoena Log, headed “In Re: Operation Leap Year”, a Justice Department file number, “FGJ 05-02 (WPB) Fridays”, “[expiration 2/1/07]”, “Transferred to FGJ 07-103 (WPB) Tuesdays” and “Investigative No. OLY”. Row OLY-38 gives the subpoenaed party as “Perry Bard, DC”, the records sought as “billing statements, record of payments, appointment books, treatment notes and correspondence”, and the appearance date on subpoena as 3/13/2007. The log’s two remaining columns, the actual-return-date column and the Bates-or-exhibit column, are empty in his row, and they are empty in every row on that sheet.6 So the log records what was asked for and, on this sheet, records nothing about what came back from anybody.

The subpoena is also an entry in the fifty-one-page chronology that A. Marie Villafaña filed as exhibit A-1 to her 2019 written response to the Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility. Its row for 2 March 2007 reads “Subpoena to Perry Bard, DC (return date 3/13/07)”, and the Exhibit # column of that row is blank, as most of that chronology’s rows are.17 A blank there means the response put no paper behind the entry; the page on that chronology sets out what is and is not established by the empty column.

An arrangement is not an occurrence, and a subpoena is not a production. No document read for this page records Perry Bard appearing before the grand jury, producing a document, giving a statement or being interviewed, and the searches run for this page returned nothing of that kind.18

The investigation’s contact list

OPERATION LEAP YEAR/CONTACT LIST is a three-sheet document. Its numbered sections are counsel: counsel for Jeffrey Epstein, naming Lilly Ann Sanchez of Fowler, White and Burnett, Gerald Bernard Lefcourt, Roy Black and Jack Alan Goldberger; counsel for three pilots, naming Bruce M. Lyons; counsel for Janusz Banasiak, naming Michael Salnick; and two further counsel entries whose clients are covered, naming Michael E. Dutko with “Private Detective: Larry Malanga”, and James L. Eisenberg. Then comes a heading reading “Analyst”, followed by “Federal Bureau of Investigation” and a covered telephone. Then, at the foot of the sheet, a heading reading “Chiropractor”, and under it:

Perry Bard, DC Health First Chiropractic Center2

The entry continues onto the third sheet with the city, state and postcode and a covered telephone. Of every person given a heading of their own on those three sheets, he is the only one who is neither a lawyer nor a federal agent.2

2009: Epstein’s own lawsuit, and the two Dr Bards

In December 2009 Epstein sued Scott Rothstein, Bradley J. Edwards and a third defendant whose name the production covers, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County. The complaint runs to a numbered list of things the defendants are said to have done wrong in the civil suits brought against him. Sub-paragraph (i) reads:

Conducted ridiculous and irrelevant discovery such as subpoenaing records from an alleged sex therapist, Dr. Leonard Bard in Massachusetts, when the alleged police report reflected that EPSTEIN had only seen a chiropractor In Palm Beach named Dr. Bard. No records relating to EPSTEIN existed for this alleged sex therapist, Dr. Bard, and the alleged subpoena for records was just another mechanism to “pump” the cases for investor appeal;7

Read for what it asserts, that is Epstein’s own lawyers invoking his chiropractor as the answer to a subpoena served on somebody else: the record of his treatment, they say, is the chiropractor and nothing more.

⚠ Read for what it does to the name, it is a trap, and the trap is in the document and not in the scanner. The sub-paragraph gives the same surname to two different people, a Massachusetts “alleged sex therapist” and a Palm Beach chiropractor, and then uses “Dr. Bard” a third time for the therapist. A second draft of the same complaint in the release, with a longer list of defendants, names the therapist exactly as the first draft does, “Dr. Leonard Bard”, and changes only the chiropractor, to “Dr. Baird”; the sentence that follows it reads “Obviously, no records existed for this alleged sex therapist, Dr. Bard”. Both drafts were read at the image at 600 dpi for this page.19 A later Second Amended Complaint spells the therapist “Dr. Leonard Baird” and drops the chiropractor sentence altogether; the medical-network page quotes that version. Measured against the full-text index on 17 October 2026, count(distinct efta_number) over text_content: “Leonard Bard” returns 21 documents and “Leonard Baird” returns 30.12

Nothing in any of these pleadings gives a forename for the chiropractor. The identification of that chiropractor as Perry Bard is made here from the investigation’s own papers, which name Perry Bard, DC as the Palm Beach chiropractor whose Epstein records the grand jury subpoenaed, and not from the pleading.12 Anyone reading “Dr. Bard” in this litigation should establish which of the two the sentence is about before attributing it.

December 2013 to April 2019: the house calls

The second stratum begins more than six years after the subpoena. It is scheduling traffic, and almost all of it has one shape: an Epstein assistant writes to the practice, the practice answers, and the doctor goes to the house.

On 7 December 2013 Lesley Groff wrote under the subject “Dr bard”: “Hello Laura. Just reconfirming Dr Bard will go see Jeffrey tomorrow morning at 8:30am 9 East 71st street between 5th And Madison”.8 That is Epstein’s New York townhouse.

The August 2014 sequence begins with Epstein himself. At 10:24 on the morning of Wednesday 27 August he wrote eight words to his office asking it to find out whether Bard was in Palm Beach that weekend. The answer came back an hour and a quarter later, under the subject line “Dr. Bard is in PB this weekend”: “Dr. Bard IS in PB this weekend :)”.20

On 28 August 2014 Groff wrote to “Dr. Perry Bard” at 11:40:59 on the produced header, which on this production is UTC and corresponds to 7:41:06 in the morning Eastern. Her message is stated here and not quoted: it greets Laura by name, asks whether the doctor could go and see Epstein at his Palm Beach home at two in the afternoon on Saturday 30 August, asks for a reply, and is signed off by Groff in her own first name.21

That thread is the one place in the material read for this page where a visit is recorded as having happened rather than as having been arranged. A single sheet carries all four of its messages. Three of the four are dated on their face in Eastern Daylight Time or with an explicit zone; the fourth carries a bare clock time with no zone on it, so the 3:25 given for it here is read as Eastern from the three around it and not from the sheet. Laura answered at 3:25 that afternoon that the time would work and that the doctor would see him then. At 12:47:10 on the Saturday the office wrote again to reconfirm, in a one-line message naming the doctor, Epstein, the two o’clock hour and Epstein’s Palm Beach home. And at 2:25:55 that afternoon, twenty-six minutes after the hour the appointment was set for, Laura replied in six words:

sorry. Yes, he is there now.13

Three weeks later the same exchange ran again, and it is worth setting out because the pronouns in it point both ways. On 18 September 2014 the office asked the practice: “HI Laura…were you able to speak with Dr. Bard? Can you confirm 1pm at Jeffrey’s house on Sat?” Laura replied that evening: “Can he push it back to 3:00? That would be better.” The next morning the office answered: “sure! that will be just fine. Jeffrey will see him 3pm Sat. at his home in PB…thanks”.22 In the first of those three messages “him” is the doctor; in the last, “Jeffrey will see him” is also the doctor, and “his home” is Epstein’s. The thing being arranged is a visit by the doctor to the patient’s house on Saturday 20 September 2014 at 3pm, and Epstein’s office day-sheet for that Saturday carries “3:00pm Appt w/Dr. Bard at the PB House” after a 9:15am arrival in Palm Beach from Little St. James.23

The traffic does not stop. On 3 October 2017 Groff wrote to the address stored as “Dr. Perry Bard”: “Morning! Reconfirming Dr. Bard will see Jeffrey today at 3pm in PB!” Laura Bard had settled it the day before in two words, “Very good.”24 Office day-sheets carry the same entry in other forms, including one for 6 December 2013 reading “8:30am Appt w/Dr. Bard at 71” and then a damaged character, the office’s shorthand for the New York townhouse, and one for 19 April 2018 reading “Appt w/Dr. Bard” at eleven in Palm Beach.2526

It also runs the other way, into Epstein’s own medical file. At 8:26 on the morning of 2 January 2014 Epstein wrote eight words to his office: “Have dr quaresh send X-ray to dr bard”. Groff answered at 9:57: “Your XRay’s at Dr. Qureshi’s can be picked up today by Jojo or mailed to the house. OK to have Jojo go and pick them up after your appointment this morning?”, adding in a parenthesis, “I have asked for 2 copies, one for us to keep on file and one for Dr. Bard, $25 each on JE’s Amex”. Epstein answered “yes” at 10:32:30 Eastern.14

The arrangements were made through the practice, and the person at the practice is named in Epstein’s own contact sheet: beneath “2) Dr. Perry Bard-chiropractor” and three covered telephone lines, the sheet reads “Laura wife/assistant:” followed by a covered value.3 She writes under the display name “Laura Bard” from 2015 onwards.1524

The apartments

Epstein kept several apartments in the building at his New York address, and from December 2013 the practice used them.

On 5 December 2013 Groff checked that a welcome letter had been left “for dr Bard to stay in [unit number]” (apartment and unit designations are withheld throughout this page and the square brackets mark where one stood).27 On 17 March 2014 she put a request to Epstein directly, and the request and the offer sit one under the other:

Dr. Bard will be in NY late this Friday and is asking if an apt would be =vailable Fri-Mon morning. We have four apartments available (in case =e need one for ▮ and M over weekend as well) [four unit numbers].

Dr. Bard also says if you are in town he would be happy to come see you.

OK to let Dr. Bard stay in an apt March 21-24?10

Further stays are recorded in April and May 2015 and in November 2015.2829 On 12 September 2016 Groff put another request up the chain: “Reminder: Dr. Bard asking to stay in an apt Nov. 4-8”. Epstein’s answer is one visible word, “ask”, followed by a producer’s bar. Groff then wrote to the apartment’s occupant: “Morning! Jeffrey wanted me to ask you first of it would be ok for Dr and Mrs Bard to stay in your apt Nov 4-8? Please let me know. Thanks! Lesley”, and was told “Yes of course”.11

The last Bard item located is a calendar alert dated 3 April 2019 whose whole text, repeated in its subject line, is an instruction to leave a welcome letter for Dr Bard for an apartment for 5 to 9 April.9 That is three months before Epstein’s arrest on 6 July 2019, and more than ten and a half years after his state conviction.

2018: how the office described him to another doctor

On 15 June 2018 an Epstein assistant opened a correspondence with the neurologist Dr Jay Lombard under a subject line that gave Epstein’s name and then, in a parenthesis, described him as a friend of the chiropractor.16 The thread is about a consultation: Lombard set out a half-day rate of $2,500 if he had to travel and $1,500 for a remote consult, the office chose the remote consult and asked where to send the cheque, and a Sunday morning was fixed.16

That subject line is the office’s own characterisation of the relationship, written to a third party, and it is the only place in the material read for this page where the relationship is described in a word rather than scheduled. Nothing further is built on it here.

Name forms, and what the count is

Measured against the released full-text index on 17 October 2026, count(distinct efta_number) over text_content, no limit on any query:

form querieddocuments
"Perry Bard"426
"Dr. Bard"2,097
"Perry Bard DC"6
"Bard, Perry"1
"Perry M Bard"0
Bard (bare surname)5,460
"Laura Bard"303

Neither of the two productive forms contains the other. Their union is 2,161 documents and their intersection is 362: 64 documents carry “Perry Bard” and never “Dr. Bard”, and 1,735 carry “Dr. Bard” and never “Perry Bard”. The full-name form that a commissioning list would reach for therefore finds 19.7% of the union, and the shorter form is not contained in the longer one either.12

The split is not abstract, and this page’s own citations show it. The whole 2006 to 2007 investigative stratum, the 2007 subpoena, the subpoena log, the Operation Leap Year contact list and the chronology, is in the "Perry Bard" half, together with Epstein’s office contact sheet. The Palm Beach police narrative, Epstein’s 2009 complaint and the August 2014 thread are in the "Dr. Bard" half. A pass keyed on the full name alone would not have found the police report or the pleading; a pass keyed on “Dr. Bard” alone would not have found the subpoena, the log, the contact list or the chronology.12

⚠ "Bard, Perry" and "Bard Perry" are one query, not two, because the index tokeniser splits on the comma; both return 1 and that is a single measurement. The same is true of "Dr. Bard" and "Dr Bard", which both return 2,097.12

The bare surname is not a usable key here. It reaches 5,460 documents, of which 3,299 lie outside the union above, and it is contaminated by unrelated uses of the surname: "Bard College" alone returns 973 documents, and this wiki’s own pages already name a newsletter columnist, Mitchell Bard, and a grantee, Bard High School Early College.12

The 2,161 is a floor. The release holds the same message many times over, so the number of distinct items behind the figure is smaller than the figure; this page does not put a number on that. By identifier prefix the union is 2,097 EFTA, 60 HOUSE_OVERSIGHT and 4 DOJ-OGR.12

This is a floor and not a population. No form used here reaches a document that refers to him only as “the chiropractor” or “the doctor”. And the forename is covered on the face of the Palm Beach police sheet discussed above, so no query on “Perry” reaches it at all: that sheet is in the 1,735 which only “Dr. Bard” finds.

What the record does not show

Scoped to the material read for this page and to the searches named in the footnote:

  • No appearance, no production, no testimony. No document was located recording that he appeared before the grand jury, produced any record, was deposed or was interviewed. The investigation’s own log leaves the actual-return-date column empty in his row, and in every other row on the sheet.618
  • No payment. No invoice, bill, cheque or wire to him or to his practice was located.18
  • No statement by him. Nothing written or said by Perry Bard appears in any document read for this page. Every sentence quoted above was written by Epstein, by Epstein’s staff, by his wife, by the occupant of one of Epstein’s apartments whose name the production covers, or by a court, a prosecutor or a police officer.
  • No clinical record. No treatment note, chart or diagnosis is in the material read for this page, and none is reproduced here.

The fifth and sixth column headings print on the sheet as three and four stacked lines respectively, and the extraction breaks them at every line end, so neither heading exists as a contiguous string in the text layer of the sheet they are printed on; they are therefore described here and not quoted. Both columns are empty for all thirteen rows printed on this sheet, which is the whole basis for the statement in the body; no claim is made about any other sheet of the log. Several other rows on the sheet carry a covered party name and nothing is inferred here about who they are. The run is 310 printed pages and is a mixed production: its p. 1 is a Bates slipsheet and it holds subpoenas as well as logs, so it is cited by page and never by bare identifier. ↩ ↩2 ↩3 ↩4

  7. EFTA00286283 p. 19 of 36, “COMPLAINT”, Jeffrey Epstein v. Scott Rothstein, individually, Bradley J. Edwards, individually, and ▮, individually, Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida, “Complex Litigation, Fla. R. Civ. Pro. 1.201”. Running head “Epstein v. RRA, et al. / Page 19”. Read at the image at 400 dpi, sub-paragraph (i) again at 600 dpi, and p. 1 of the run at 400 dpi. On p. 1 the caption names “SCOTT ROTHSTEIN, individually,” and “BRADLEY J. EDWARDS, individually, and” over a third line whose name is covered by a solid bar and whose surviving characters are ”., individually,”; the sheet carries a stamped case number beginning “50 2009 CA” and a stamp reading “COPY / RECEIVED FOR FILING / DEC 07 2009”, which is a stage in the filing and not necessarily the operative instrument. The sub-paragraph is quoted whole in the body, including its closing semicolon, because it is one item of a lettered list and runs on into item (j); a truncation check will read it as ending mid-sentence and it does not. The capital in “a chiropractor In Palm Beach” is on the sheet: at 600 dpi the glyph is full height and carries no dot, where “in Massachusetts” one line above carries a dotted lowercase i. The surrounding items of the list concern complainants in the civil actions and nothing from them is reproduced here. ↩ ↩2

  8. EFTA01754996 p. 2 of 2, Subject: Dr bard / From: Lesley Groff / Sent Saturday, December 7, 2013 4:52:58 PM / To: Jeffrey Epstein. Quoted from the text layer; not verified at the image. Body: “Hello Laura. Just reconfirming Dr Bard will go see Jeffrey tomorrow morning at 8:30am 9 East 71st street between 5th And Madis[on]”. A companion message the same evening at EFTA01754122 p. 2 reads “Yes Lesley Dr. Bard will be at Jeffreys house tomorrow morning at 8:30 am.” ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  9. EFTA02281403 p. 1 of 1, a calendar alert whose subject line and one-line body are the same instruction, dated “April 3, 2019 8:30 AM”, to leave a welcome letter for Dr Bard for a named apartment for the dates 5 to 9 April, To and From covered. The unit designation it names is not reproduced on this page, so the line is described rather than quoted. Read at the image at 400 dpi. This is the latest-dated Bard item located for this page; the searches that produced that statement are set out in the name-forms footnote and it is a claim about what was found, not about what exists. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  10. EFTA02518763 p. 1 of 1, From: Lesley Groff <▮> / Sent: Monday, March 17, 2014 2:28 PM / To: Jeffrey Epstein / Subject: Dr. Bard. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The three paragraphs are quoted whole. The forms “=vailable” and “=e” are ON THE SHEET: the export is quoted-printable and the equals sign has eaten the first character of each word; they are not OCR damage and are reproduced as printed. The name covered in the second parenthesis is the producer’s bar. ⚠ The sheet also carries the export’s own Apple property list, whose machine-recorded receipt time converts to Monday 17 March 2014 at 14:28:19 UTC. That matches the “2:28 PM” of the Sent header to the minute and so confirms that this production’s bare Sent times are UTC and not local; the message was written at 10:28 in the morning Eastern. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  11. EFTA02043805 p. 1 of 2, produced header From: Lesley Groff / Sent Mon 9/12/2016 2:00:23 PM / Subject: Re: Reminder: Bard's asking to stay in apt Nov. 4-8, the To field covered. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The chain runs, innermost first: Groff at “On Mon, Sep 12, 2016 at 6:50 AM”, “Reminder: Dr. Bard asking to stay in an apt Nov. 4-8…we have ▮ in [unit number] and ▮ in [unit number]…we could put them in ▮ apt. OK for them to stay in ▮ apt Nov. 4-8?”, the ellipses hers and the four bars the producer’s; Epstein at “September 12, 2016 at 7:08:35 AM EDT”, “ask ▮”; Groff’s message to the apartment’s occupant, quoted whole in the body; the occupant’s “Yes of course” at “On Sep 12, 2016, at 10:00 AM”; and Groff’s “fantastic! thanks” at the top. ⚠ The 10:00 AM of the inline quote against the 2:00:23 PM of the produced header is the third independent confirmation on this page that the produced Sent header is UTC. ↩ ↩2

  12. Searches run on 17 October 2026 against the released full-text index, pages_fts, scoped text_content, counting count(distinct efta_number), with no limit on any query and no join. Forms and returns: "Perry Bard" 426; "Dr. Bard" 2,097; "Dr Bard" 2,097; "Perry Bard DC" 6; "Bard, Perry" 1; "Bard Perry" 1; "Perry M Bard" 0; perrybard 0; Bard 5,460; "Laura Bard" 303; "Bard College" 973; "Leonard Bard" 21; "Leonard Baird" 30; "only seen a chiropractor" 26. ⚠ "Dr. Bard" and "Dr Bard" are the same query and "Bard, Perry" and "Bard Perry" are the same query, because the index tokeniser is plain unicode61 and splits on the full stop and the comma; they are reported as four lines above and are two measurements. Set arithmetic over the two productive forms: union 2,161, intersection 362, “Perry Bard” only 64, “Dr. Bard” only 1,735; the union is wholly contained in the bare-surname set, which carries 3,299 further documents that neither form reaches. Identifier prefixes over the union: EFTA 2,097, HOUSE_OVERSIGHT 60, DOJ-OGR 4. A count of a result set is not knowledge of its contents. The only documents read for this page are those cited in these footnotes. ↩ ↩2 ↩3 ↩4 ↩5 ↩6 ↩7

  13. EFTA00364005 p. 1 of 1, Date: Sat, 30 Aug 2014 18:25:55 +0000, the From and To fields covered. Read at the image at 300 dpi. This sheet carries the whole four-message thread, oldest last, and is the copy cited here because it dates every message on its face, three of the four with an explicit zone: the 8/28 request “In a message dated 8/28/2014 7:41:06 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time”; the reply “On Aug 28, 2014, at 3:25 PM” (the one message of the four whose stamp carries no zone), in which Laura confirms the time and says the doctor will see him then, over her own first name; the reconfirmation “In a message dated 8/30/2014 12:47:10 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time”, whose one-line body is stated in the body of this page and not quoted here, and whose sign-off name is covered by a producer’s bar; and the top message, whose own Date header carries the explicit +0000, reading “sorry. Yes, he is there now.” over the name “Laura”. The double space is the sheet’s. 18:25:55 UTC is 2:25:55 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, which is the basis for the time given in the body. Every address on this sheet is covered. ⚠ “he is there now” is a statement by the practice about where the doctor was at the moment of writing; it is the strongest evidence of attendance on this page and it is still hearsay from the practice, not a record made at the house. ↩ ↩2

  14. EFTA00377110 p. 1 of 2, From: Lesley Groff <▮> / To: Jojo Fontanilla <▮> / Cc: Karyna Shuliak <▮> / Subject: Fwd: Dr. Qureshi X-Ray's / Date: Thu, 02 Jan 2014 16:17:18 +0000. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The chain runs, innermost first: Epstein at “8:26 AM”; Groff at “Thu, Jan 2, 2014 at 9:57 AM”; and Epstein’s “yes” at “January 2, 2014 10:32:30 AM EST”. All three are quoted in the body. The double space and the misspelling of the other doctor’s name in Epstein’s instruction are his own and are reproduced as printed. Nineteen copies of that instruction are in the release. The forwarding message above the chain tells a member of staff to collect the discs from the office of Dr Sheeraz Qureshi; it is copied to Karyna Shuliak. No contact value from this sheet is reproduced here. ↩ ↩2

  15. EFTA02069836 p. 1 of 1, produced header From: Laura Bard / Sent: Fri 10/16/2015 2:41:05 PM / Subject: Re: Jeffrey Epstein, the To field covered. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The sheet carries six messages, the oldest timed at a quarter to ten on the morning of 15 October 2015 and the newest in the header above, and every one of them was read at the image. The exchange is given in the body in paraphrase; no sentence of it is quoted on this page, and the account above is of what the six messages say. The From display name prints on this copy; every address on it is covered and none is reproduced here. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  16. EFTA02249755 p. 1 of 2, produced header To: Jay Lombard[▮] / From: ▮ / Sent Fri 6/15/2018 7:09:32 PM, the subject line read at the image at 400 dpi. ⚠ The corpus text layer renders one word of that subject line as “Mend”; the sheet reads “friend”. The subject line is described in the body and not quoted. The chain below it was read from the text layer and is not verified at the image; the two fee figures and the choice of a remote consult are as described. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  17. EFTA00224943 p. 4, “EPSTEIN INVESTIGATION TIMELINE”, footed “Privileged Confidential” / “Page 4 of 51” / “Contains 6(e) Material”. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The five-column table’s row for 3/2/2007 reads, in the “Re:” column, “Subpoena to Perry Bard, DC (return date 3/13/07)”, with the Date column “3/2/2007”, the To and From columns empty and the Exhibit # column empty. The run is the fifty-one-page chronology filed as exhibit A-1 to the 2019 written response of Assistant United States Attorney A. Marie Villafaña to the Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility; what is and is not established about its authorship, its concordance column and its blank rows is set out at the page on that document and not restated here. Other rows of the same 3/2/2007 block are not enumerated on this page. ⚠ The extraction of this sheet renders the footer legend “Contains 6(e) Nlaterial”, an M read as an N and an l, which is why a checker will report that string as sitting on other sheets of the run and not on this one; the sheet reads “Contains 6(e) Material” at 400 dpi. The same extraction closes the gap over the party covered in one of the block’s other rows, so the text layer of this sheet gives no sign that a name is missing there. ↩

  18. Negative searches run on 17 October 2026 on the same index and in the same form, each returning 0 documents: "Bard testimony", "Bard grand jury", "Dr Bard deposition", "Bard interview", "Bard invoice", "pay Dr Bard", "Bard payment", "check to Dr Bard". ⚠ A zero is a claim about the phrasing, not about the record. These are the forms searched; a production receipt, a grand jury return or a payment recorded under the practice’s name rather than his own would not be reached by any of them, and the single sheet of the subpoena log read for this page is one sheet of a log that runs to several. The statements in the body are scoped accordingly. ↩ ↩2 ↩3

  19. EFTA00725319 p. 22 of 34, a second “COMPLAINT” in the same court and the same matter with a longer list of defendants. Read at the image at 600 dpi, and the quotation below confirmed against the sheet, including the semicolon after “Massachusetts”, the lowercase “in Palm Beach” where the first draft carries a capital, and “Obviously, no records existed”. Its sub-paragraph (i) reads: “Conducted ridiculous and irrelevant discovery such as subpoenaing records from an alleged sex therapist, Dr. Leonard Bard in Massachusetts; when the alleged police report reflected that EPSTEIN had only seen a chiropractor in Palm Beach named Dr. Baird. Obviously, no records existed for this alleged sex therapist, Dr. Bard, and the alleged subpoena for records was just another mechanism to ‘pump’ the cases for investor appeal;” Nothing read for this page establishes which of the two drafts was filed first or last, and this page asserts no order between them. Measured on 17 October 2026, the token sequence “only seen a chiropractor in Palm Beach named” reaches 25 documents, which hold both wordings; the “Dr. Baird” wording was seen on three of them. ↩

  20. EFTA02097647 p. 1 of 1, produced header To: Jeffrey Epstein / From: ▮ / Sent: Wed 8/27/2014 3:38:23 PM / Subject: Dr. Bard is in PB this weekend. Read at the image at 400 dpi and again at 600 dpi for the header rules. The From field is covered by a producer’s bar. Epstein’s own message, quoted on the sheet at “On Aug 27, 2014, at 10:24 AM”, is given in the body in paraphrase; the reply above it is quoted. The produced Sent header is UTC on this production, so 3:38:23 PM on the sheet is 11:38:23 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, an hour and a quarter after Epstein’s 10:24 enquiry. No contact value from this sheet is reproduced here. ↩

  21. EFTA02098419 p. 1 of 1, produced header To: Dr. Perry Bard[▮] / From: ▮ / Sent: Thur 8/28/2014 11:40:59 AM. Read at the image at 400 dpi and again at 600 dpi for the header rules. The body is stated in the text above and is not quoted on this page; below it the sheet carries the line “Sent from my iPhone”. The From field is covered on this copy; the sender is identified from the body’s own signature, “Thanks, Lesley”, which prints on this copy. ⚠ The corpus text layer renders the covered From value as the string “imilopliflifo”, which is extraction damage over a bar and not a name. On the clock: the produced “Sent” header of this production carries no zone and is UTC. The measurement is this document against EFTA00364005 p. 1, which quotes this same message as “In a message dated 8/28/2014 7:41:06 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time”, a difference of three hours fifty-nine minutes fifty-three seconds. Two further confirmations of the same zone rule are recorded in the footnotes to the March 2014 apartment request and the September 2016 one, and a fourth is the explicit +0000 on the Date header of the copy just named. ↩

  22. EFTA02098449 p. 1 of 1, produced header To: Dr. Perry Bard[▮] / From: ▮ / Sent: Fri 9/19/2014 10:46:38 AM / Subject: Re: 1pm w/Jeffrey Sat. at his house good?. Read at the image at 400 dpi. The sheet carries three messages, innermost first: “HI Laura…were you able to speak with Dr. Bard? Can you confirm 1pm at Jeffrey’s house on Sat?”, dated in the quote line “9/18/2014 5:23:27 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time”; “Can he push it back to 3:00? That would be better.” over the name “Laura”, quoted as “On Sep 18, 2014, at 9:07 PM”; and the top message, “sure! that will be just fine. Jeffrey will see him 3pm Sat. at his home in PB…thanks”. The ellipses are the messages’ own. The From field is covered on this copy and the sender is not named on this page beyond the Epstein office. ↩

  23. EFTA02097678 p. 1 of 5, an Epstein office schedule circulated by Lesley Groff at “Sep 19, 2014, at 5:49 PM” and acknowledged “Received thank you.” P. 1 read at the image at 400 dpi for this page; the other four sheets of the run are from the text layer and have not been opened. The Saturday 20 September 2014 block runs, line by line, a travel heading, then “7:00am Depart LSJ”, “9:15am Arrive PB, Customs Building” and “3:00pm Appt w/Dr. Bard at the PB House”, all four read at the image. ⚠ The extraction damages three of those four lines: it gives the travel heading three stray characters after “LSJ-”, renders “LSJ” as “LS1”, and renders “Appt” as “App!”. The fourth, “9:15am Arrive PB, Customs Building”, extracts exactly as printed. No redaction is marked here and none should be inferred: the damage is the extractor’s. The following day’s block is headed “Sun. Sept. 21, 2014 PB-NY” at the image; ⚠ the extraction renders that heading “Sun. Sept 21. 2014 PB-NY”, moving the full stop off “Sept” and turning the comma after the day into one, and an earlier draft of this page reproduced the extraction’s punctuation inside quotation marks as though it were the sheet’s. This is a diary entry and is evidence of what was planned, not of what happened. Other entries in the Sunday block name third parties and nothing from them is read into this page. ↩

  24. EFTA00460445 p. 1 of 1, From: Lesley Groff <▮> / To: "Dr. Perry Bard" <▮> / Subject: Re: Jeffrey Epstein / Date: Tue, 03 Oct 2017 10:38:48 +0000. Read at the image at 300 dpi. The one-sentence body is quoted whole in the body of this page, and so is the two-word reply it quotes, at “On Oct 2, 2017, at 12:31 PM, Laura Bard <▮> wrote:”. Every address on this sheet is covered and none is reproduced here. This copy’s Date header carries its zone explicitly, which is why the 10:38:48 above can be read without the correction the other copies need. ↩ ↩2

  25. EFTA01945996 p. 1, an Epstein office day-sheet for 6 December 2013. Quoted from the text layer; not verified at the image. The extraction of this sheet gives the line as “8:30am Appt w/Dr. Bard at 71n” and the extraction of a second copy at EFTA00977748 p. 1 gives it as “8:30am Appt w/Dr. Bard at 71’”. ⚠ The two extractions disagree on the character after “71” and no redaction is marked or should be inferred: neither sheet has been opened at the image for this page, and what stands after the house number is not established. “71” is the office’s own shorthand for the New York townhouse. ↩

  26. EFTA02465689 p. 1, an Epstein office day-sheet, “Thurs. April 19, 2018 / PB” over a line the extraction renders “11 :00am Appt w/Dr. Bard”, the space before the colon being the extraction’s. Quoted from the text layer; not verified at the image. ↩
