David Blaine (born David Blaine White, April 4, 1973) is an American magician, illusionist and endurance performer.1 Emails, calendar alerts, a flight manifest and text messages in the Epstein document releases record invitations and arrangements between the two men: dinner invitations at Epstein’s New York house, tickets to Blaine’s stage show, a flight on Epstein’s aircraft, messages about Paris, Harvard and the White House, and a letter of support Blaine signed in 2015 for an applicant’s immigration case at Epstein’s request.5627 The material runs from a December 2010 email in which Epstein asked an event organiser to find Blaine to an email Epstein sent Blaine on April 4, 2019.34 CNN reported in April 2026 that Blaine has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and the Irish Times reported in February 2026 that he did not respond to its requests for comment.89

Earliest records, 2010–2012

On December 1, 2010, Peggy Siegal, who was assembling a guest list for Epstein, wrote to him about an event: “I do not know David Blaine…do you know him? Is he strange? Think he is an odd ball. Do you really want me to find him…”3 Epstein replied “yes.”3

On October 20, 2012 a staff member wrote to Epstein, “David Blaine says dinner with you and woody Allen next week sounds great.”10 Two days later another asked, “Did you want me to set dinner up for just you and David Blaine this week? David said he is available.”11 On October 26 Epstein’s assistant relayed that Blaine “says tonight won’t work and apologizes. But is hoping and wants tomorrow to work. He asks you to please call him”; Epstein’s answer was passed back the same evening: “please tell Blaine yes for tomorrow.”12 Epstein’s calendar carried an alert that day to follow up with Blaine.13 On November 15, 2012 a message from Blaine’s office was forwarded to Epstein: “David is back in NYC on saturday afternoon. Please have Jeffrey call him directly…see if they can work out getting together.”14

The September 2012 flight

A passenger manifest for Epstein’s aircraft N909JE, operated by Hyperion Air, records a flight on September 19, 2012 from Ontario, California to Teterboro, New Jersey.5 Jeffrey Epstein and David Blaine are among the passengers listed on it.5 Earlier that day an Epstein staff member had emailed the travelling party that “David Blaine will be flying with you to NY,” and said a car would be booked for him at the airport.15

Invitations and scheduling, 2013–2016

On January 22, 2013 Lesley Groff wrote that Blaine “is asking if you could please give him a quick call,” and later the same day that he had confirmed he would join a dinner at Epstein’s house the next day.1617 Groff’s message set the expected number at nine and listed the guests she was expecting, among them Woody Allen; it is a list of who was invited, not a record of who came.17

A calendar alert for February 28, 2013 records a 6:00 pm appointment with Blaine, and another, scheduled for February 14, reads “Remind JE: David Blaine.”1819 On March 23, 2013 Epstein wrote to Blaine, “leave the night of the 4t open”; Blaine replied, “my 40th.”20 Epstein’s calendar carried a reminder that Blaine’s birthday was April 4, and a further alert on the day itself.2122 The same weekend Epstein wrote to a friend proposing a late birthday cake on March 31 and offering, “i can bring woody , blaine etc.”23 On March 24 he wrote to Blaine, “you are welcome , i will be home after 8.”24

On March 20, 2013 an assistant asked whether there was a deadline for finishing “your Bill Gates/David Blaine video,” and Groff’s calendar for April 2 records an editor coming to the house at 10:00 am to “finish editing David Blaine film.”2526

On April 24, 2013 Epstein emailed Blaine about a restaurant that evening, and Blaine replied, “I will stop by.”27 Calendar alerts through the middle of the year ask whether Blaine could join a dinner on June 24, carry a reminder for him the same day, and note “TBD David Blaine to stop by” on July 30.282930 On September 3, 2013 Groff circulated the guests she expected at a dinner the following evening and noted that “David Blaine will stop by at 9pm”; a calendar alert for September 4 carries the same 9:00 pm entry.3132 On September 5 an assistant wrote, “Please call David Blaine.”33

On October 17, 2013 an assistant relayed to Epstein that Blaine had asked to come by and photograph a bathroom at the house.34 The message asked, “OK to have David Blaine come by sometime tonight?”34

On January 7, 2014 an assistant reported that Blaine “says he will come at 7pm on wed. as long as he is not in Vegas.”35 On March 25, 2015 Groff wrote that Blaine “WILL be bringing another magician with him tonight to the dinner…he says he made this guy change his flight so he can make it.”36 On November 10, 2016 Epstein emailed Blaine, “dinner with woody sun?”; Blaine replied “Great,” and to Epstein’s follow-up “7?” answered “Perfect.”37 In November 2016 Epstein wrote to a correspondent whose name is redacted, “david blaine is coming . the wolrds greatest magician.”38 An October 6, 2016 reminder on Epstein’s phone reads “Reminder call David Blaine."39

"Nothing to Hide,” 2013

On October 30, 2013 Epstein asked Blaine about his Off-Broadway show Nothing to Hide: “did we get the tikcets to the show?”; Blaine answered, “Woody is going dec 4. Then ?”40 On November 4, 2013 Groff reported that Blaine “says he WILL have tickets for you for Nov. 6th to ‘Nothing to Hide’!! He says he will have 2 tickets for you and maybe, maybe 3 tix (you plus 2)..but he is not sure yet. David says he will go and bring someone as well!”41

Her arrangements for the evening of November 6, 2013 record that “David Blaine will meet you out front of the theater tonight at 7:15pm…he has your tickets,” a 7:30 pm curtain at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theater in the Pershing Square Signature Center at 480 West 42nd Street, a seventy-minute running time and a reception afterwards at the Yotel on the same block.6 On November 12 Groff relayed that “David Blaine says his show should definitely be ready this Friday Nov. 15th.”42 A calendar alert for November 1 reads “Remind JE: david blaine screening to benefit breast center.”43

In January 2014 Epstein wrote to Blaine, “Woody asked if we can ask your card friends from the show to the house. Are you going to Vegas?”; Blaine replied, “Great idea. Call.”44

Paris and Harvard, 2013–2014

On November 28, 2013 Epstein asked Blaine, “did you find what you needed?”; Blaine answered, “No, but in Paris now.”45 Epstein wrote back, “do you need anything there?”, and Blaine replied, “Call.”46

On January 24, 2014 Epstein emailed Blaine, “see you in paris.”47 The same day he wrote to a contact about a dinner in Paris and said of Blaine, “david blaine is also with me there. we can invite these girls to a fun dinner.”48 Blaine was not a party to that exchange and is referred to in it in the third person.48 CNN reported in April 2026 that Blaine has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and the Irish Times reported that he did not respond to its requests for comment.89 On February 3, 2014 Epstein emailed Blaine, “are you still in paris?”49

An extraction of Epstein’s iMessages records exchanges with Blaine between April 2014 and June 2015.50 On April 10, 2014 Epstein wrote, “Do you want to come to Harvard on the 21 for the day , my plane,” and on April 19, “Are you coming to Harvard Monday?”; Blaine answered, “I have to perform for this crowd sat and am putting show together with 4 amazing magicians. Call me.”7 On June 7, 2015 Epstein wrote, “Any interest in visiting White House.”51 Other exchanges in the extraction read, on Epstein’s side, “Are you in town Monday,” “TriBeCa ball?” and “Art school party nothing more,” and on Blaine’s, “Yes. See u Monday,” “What is that crap” and “Perfect. Press?”50

Offers of Blaine’s time to third parties

In February 2013 Epstein asked Ian Osborne whether Roman Abramovich wanted “to spend time with gates.? blaine?”; Osborne replied, “As for Blaine, I didn’t ask but he knows David very well. In fact he is David’s biggest client for private shows.”52 In December 2013 Epstein offered to bring Blaine to a gathering held by a correspondent whose name is redacted.53 In January 2014 Groff reported that Blaine had “offered to put together a care package of great magic tricks” for a person whose name is redacted.54 In April 2014 a correspondent asked Epstein, “How many friends are we thinking? I mentioned it to a few and they are SO interested”; Epstein answered, “once i can confirm that he is coming makes no difference how many. 10- 20 up to you.”55 On April 28, 2014 Epstein asked Groff to “think about a dinner” on May 7 and closed the list of names with “and david blaine.”56

The 2015 immigration letter

In May 2015 Epstein emailed Blaine directly, asking him to provide a letter of support in an applicant’s immigration case and enclosing a text for him to use: “would you feel comfortable sending someting like the enclosed. ? I d appreciate it.”57 The same message proposed “a magician night for woodys 80th birthdya, around thanksgiving, we have plenty of time to get it right and invite the right people.”57 A correspondent had sent Epstein the same enclosure with the request, “Can you have David sign this please?”58

The enclosure was a complete letter written in Blaine’s voice, headed “[Please insert on your letterhead]” and opening, “My name is David Blaine and I am a magician, an illusionist and an endurance artist.”59 The copy was supplied to Blaine; the cited documents do not identify who prepared it.5957

In June 2015 Blaine emailed a revised text under the subject line “New version,” copying Epstein.60 Asked, “Would you please insert the letterhead and sign it?”, he replied “K,” and a project manager at his company, DB Productions, sent the signed letter as a PDF with Epstein copied.61 The letter as issued is printed on Blaine’s letterhead over his signature and is shorter than the enclosure.259 The applicant is not identified in the copy cited here.2

Later in May 2015 Blaine texted Epstein about the birthday plan: “Ricky jay? For woodys bd??”62 The Irish Times reported on the letter and the drafts in February 2026 and said Blaine did not respond to its requests for comment.9

2019

On April 4, 2019 Epstein replied to the November 2016 thread with Blaine with the words “wild times.”4

Response

The Irish Times reported on February 12, 2026 that Blaine did not respond to its requests for comment on the correspondence.9 CNN reported on April 27, 2026 that Blaine has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing in connection with Epstein and did not respond to a request for comment.8

Separate allegations

On October 19, 2017 the Daily Beast reported that Natasha Prince, a former model, alleged that Blaine had raped her at an address in Chelsea, London, in the summer of 2004.63 CBS News reported on April 2, 2019 that Scotland Yard detectives had declined to take further action after investigating that claim, and that the New York Police Department had confirmed an active special victims investigation into further allegations against Blaine.64 ABC News reported on April 1, 2019 that those allegations fell outside the statute of limitations and that Blaine had not been charged or interviewed.65 Blaine’s publicist told CBS News on April 2, 2019: “David denies the accusations that have been reported and he takes these allegations seriously. He intends to cooperate with any investigation.”64 The reports cited here did not connect these allegations to Epstein.6364
