Flight departed St Thomas USVI at 4:08pm on March 1st after preClearing US Customs in St. Thomas, aircraft arrived in Teterboro 6:54pm I contacted St Thomas Customs March 1st at 10am and advised we will preClear customs at 3:30pm for a flight from St Thomas USVI to Teterboro NJ. I filed EAPIS at • 1st and received my confirmation #6776269. I contacted Teterboro Customs office at 1:06pm at phone# and spoke to Officer initials "RR", he confirmed my arrival estimate of 7pm and noted that I will be PREClearing US Customs in St Thomas, and informed me to bring my Stamped General Decoration to his office after I deplane my passengers in Teterboro. During this flight Teterboro Customs officer Goico called my emergency contact, which is my wife at 6:10pm and inform her that Teterboro customs was trying to contact me, however, I was flying at the time,. Officer Goico informed my wife I was going to be issued a Fine upon landing in Teterboro for some unknown reason, also, Teterboro customs called the control tower at Teterboro and informed us to NOT let my passengers deplane and to bring the aircraft directly to the Customs building upon arrival. I contacted Teterboro Customs 1 hour before landing and explained that I have PreCleared US Customs in St Thomas, at that point, Teterboro customs said it was OK for my passengers to deplane at the Fix Base Operator, Meridian Aviation and advised me to bring my Stamped Customs Dec to their office.
