A good place to start would be looking at the Founder's TED talk: http://www.ted.com/talks/tan le a headset that reads your brainwaves.html A link to their website: http://www.ennotiv.conn/ I have been hired, along with my daughter Liz (who works in Rama's lab, and who you briefly met on your island), as chief scientific consultants for the technology and the company, which holds the proprietary technology and patents. We have lots of ideas on how to improve it, and bring it to wide attention and use in the relevant communities. Right now, it is still in a nascent stage, but it has great potential. Right now, we are examining their proprietary software to see exactly how reliable their EEG data is, and so far, it is very reliable. This means that it could potentially serve as a a quick and dirty way to collect EEG data in an extremely inexpensive way. Professional machines are very expensive, and institutions have to normally share them across departments and labs. We have been running some experiments with autistic children, who have responded very well to the device. Normally, they are very resistant to such devices, but in one example, the child, who liked the mind interaction repeatedly stated, "I like! I like! I like." The autism subjects appear to do much better in the focused attention required with the device than normal. At UCSD, Liz has been working with quite a number of faculty members and graduate students with regards to the device and its potential. I am writing this only for your interest, not because I was trying to "pitch" anything or need anything. Just thought you would find it interesting. There's more if you are interested... EFTA00687749
