In addition they have made a bald assumption that gravitation waves in 4-D spacetime travel at the speed of light. They can't even visualize waves in 4-D spacetime let alone know their velocity. In point of fact they can speak with zero certainty about these gravitation waves and yet the mainstream scientific media will continue to assert that gravitation waves have been discovered.
