I am an adjunct professor at the College of Information Sciences and Technology at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania, since 2017, where I have been employed since 2001. I was a tenure-track professor at The Pennsylvania State University from 2009 through 2016, departing as a tenured full professor in 2017. I am a principal scientist at the Qatar Computing Research Institute. I was a Senior Fellow at the Pew Internet & American Life Project, which is part of the Pew Research Center, from 2010-2012. I was a University Expert at the National Ground Intelligence Center from 2011 through 2014. Prior to my employment at The Pennsylvania State University, I was a Lecturer in the Computer Science Program at the University of Maryland (Asian Division) for 1 year, and before that, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the United States Military Academy, a.k.a. West Point, for 3 years. 3.
