— got to SHU ~ 7/22 — went to L-tier first few days
then 6 tier, then H-tier
— was in first cell on the right in L-tier — alone in cell
there ~4-5 days
— during 7/23 attempt — heard from other inmates on gate
that Epstein told his bunkie to strangle him and he
was going to pay him
— then went to 6 tier — cell first one to the right next to
shower. there 9-10 days
— then to H-tier, cell 107, second on right — LN =

— moved from L-tier b/c Lt. Perez said they had that cell
b/c box is so full so moved to 6 tier which is observation
unit. But 6 tier's single cells. Then they said they could
give CL a bunkie + moved downstairs. Lt. (black, old,
bald, short, fat) and one CO moved him.
— counts — happen ~ 9:30, they supposed to do 30-min
checks overnight and they never do it. stay up until
1:30/2 generally and they don't do any checks.
don't see anyone walking after 9:30 check — next time
they come around is 6:30 breakfast. Have clock on radio.
— have to ask them to turn off lights at 9:30 count. If they
don't turn it off out of luck until am.
— can see guards perfectly from L-tier cell on the right
— heard from other inmates at SHU — guards don't do anything, guards
don't do count, leave the unit for hours at a time, don't do anything
to stop K2

Key: guards 'never do' 30-min checks, don't see anyone after 9:30 until 6:30 breakfast. Stay up until 1:30/2am, no checks observed.
