Apparently Jeffrey got her the internship because he was friends with Tom Barrack, who owned the hotel. Q_ What did that friend tell you that persuaded you to reconnect with Mr. Epstein? A Well, | didn't know that's who she was introducing me to. She never told‘me his name. She just told me there was a wealthy couple in New York that was looking for anew traveling assistant and if | would be interested. She had taken some risque photos of.me earlier, and | learned later that she had sent them to Jeffrey, and then she started telling me-about the job opportunity. Q_ Can you provide any other details about the job opportunity and what an assistant i meant here? A Sorry, can you -- Q_ What did she tell you about the job-opportunity? A Not a lot, just that their current assistant was looking to leave and they were looking for a5 someone to replace her, and that it ---they were based in New York. That was kind of it. | just -- you know, | was really desperately. trying to get out of Hawaii, and | was going further and further into debt and had nowhere to go.and no -- really nowhere to go. So it just sounded like a good opportunity, and | trusted her. Q Outside of those reasons, is there anything else about the job opportunity that was attractive to you? BX | really didn't have much information other than that about it. BY MS. TOLAN: Q__ And you said she knew Jeffrey Epstein because he helped her get her job at the hotel. Is that correct? A Correct.
