A I don't recall any specific events or being in the room. Obviously, it's been publicly reported that she attended Chelsea's wedding. So by definition, they were in the same room, but I don't remember other instances. Q How would you describe your relationship with Chelsea Clinton? A You know, I was very close to her father. He relied heavily on me. Chelsea and I had -- I had known her a long, long time since my time in the White House. And our relationship was complicated and complex and, you know, then it grew to be somewhat contentious towards the end. Q And real quickly, why did your relationship with Chelsea Clinton end? A Well, I don't know -- it ended. Just -- it grew contentious over time. She was getting more involved, and I was doing other things and trying to get on with my life and things. So I don't know if there was a specific instance or a specific thing that was the cause of it. I was close to her father. She was in school and then working and then getting involved in the Foundation and things. And it was just the natural progression of things, I suppose. Q Can you characterize the relationship between Ms. Maxwell and Chelsea Clinton? A They seemed to be friends. Q Can you expand on that? How do you know that they were friends? A Well, she was at her wedding, which would seem to indicate that. I just recall them spending time together, being friends, to the best of my recollection, nothing specific or any instances. I just remember and just recall them as being friends. Q Do you know how often they spent time together? You said they were friends. I just want an approximate.
