A I mean, I don't recall having any -- I don't recall anything specific, but again, in retrospect, seeing emails and things, there's -- you know, obviously, it seems like I did, but I just don't remember them. Sorry. Q Did you ever have alone time with Ms. Maxwell where it was only you two present? A I don't recall ever having alone time with her. Q So you said that you were friends with Ms. Maxwell. Is that correct? A Yes. Q So what was your understanding of what Ms. Maxwell did for a living? A You know, I don't know that I ever -- I don't recall ever discussing with her. I don't ever recall knowing specifically what she did. She was from, obviously, a prominent family, and she knew a lot of very important people. But I don't know what she did or who paid her or anything like that. Q So you said that she knew a lot of very important people. What do you mean by that? A She just seemed to know a lot of prominent people. I don't mean anything specific about it. Her world was trafficking and, you know, spending time with people that were important. Q So during the years of knowing her, how would you characterize your relationship outside of friends? So you said you had no private dinners whatsoever with Ms. Maxwell? A I said I don't recall having private dinners with her. We were friends, socially friends. Q Did you ever have a romantic relationship with Ms. Maxwell?
