Q And so you said you directed your staff to not reimburse Mr. Epstein for the payments he was requesting. They were, you said, reimbursements for expenses he was covering for Ms. Antonova. Is that right? A That's what he represented. Q Why would he want you to reimburse him for that? A You know, I viewed it as a tactic to reengage with me. I'd never asked him to do anything with respect to the person we're discussing, so I was rather surprised. That was the first time I knew explicitly that he'd become aware of that affair. Q So you did not know until -- I'm sorry, so this was in 2014 that we're discussing now? A Yeah. Late 2014, maybe into early 2015 where he's seeking reimbursement. Q So you did not know until late 2014 or early 2015 that Jeffrey Epstein was aware of any of your affairs or just this affair? A In the termination or exit discussion relative to Dr. Nikolic, which is as early as I think spring 2013, Mr. Epstein made some veiled references that made me wonder whether he had become aware, which, you know, the only way I can imagine that would have happened was through Dr. Nikolic, of either one or two affairs that I'd had that Dr. Nikolic was aware of. But until the specific reimbursement requests, it was a veiled type of thing where he would say, you know, we should all want to remain friends. Q Do you know what exactly the expenses he had paid for for Ms. Antonova were? A I have no idea. You know, he -- he wasn't an honest person, so understanding did he pay those expenses or not, I have no knowledge.
