EXAMINATION BY : Q Very, very briefly, we want to go through your background and the only two experiences that I think are relevant today. Where did you attend undergrad, and what year did you graduate? A Graduated Columbia College in 1971. I grad -- I got a master's from Columbia in 1973. I went to law school at GW here in Washington at night and graduated in 1977. Q Thank you. A During that time, I worked at CIA. Q And then President H.W. Bush appointed you to be United States Attorney General from 1991 to 1993. Is that correct? A Yes. I was in the Department at the start of his administration, and he ultimately appointed me Attorney General. Q And then President Trump appointed you Attorney General February 2019 through -- and then you left December 2020, correct? A Right. I was confirmed in February 2019. Q Were you acting prior to your confirmation? A No.
