A I became -- at some point, and this was 6 years ago, but I became aware that the Southern District was conducting an investigation. I think it was a little bit before his arrest, but I can't be sure of that. It could've been around the time of his arrest, but I was aware that they were conducting an investigation. I don't recall speci\ufb01c discussions surrounding that. I could tell you what my understanding of what they were investigating, but I don't remember particular conversations. It's just my impression of what came up to me at that time. Q Can you describe your general understanding of what they were investigating? A So my understanding was that they were investigating whether he committed tra\ufb03cking o\ufb00enses, particularly focusing on his exploitation of young women, and they were trying to make that case against him. And, in that context, they were also looking as to whether any individuals were accomplices or complicit in that activity, either as facilitators -- as, you know, they ultimately went after and convicted Ghislaine Maxwell. And I think they were -- and I know they were also looking at whether there was evidence to charge anyone with participating in tra\ufb03cking by having involvement with the tra\ufb03cked victims. Q To the best that you can, can you describe the di\ufb00erence between what participating in the tra\ufb03cking would be and what facilitating the tra\ufb03cking would be?
