From: Ting, Jess Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2013 6:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: update on wound fluid project Dear Jeffrey, Since we last spoke, the research project on the molecular analysis of surg=cal wound fluids has progressed nicely. We currently have identified 11 ge=es by microarray that we think may differentiate the low-score wound fluid= from the high-score wound fluids. We currently working on validating this=genetic signature. If validated, this would be a diagnostic test which cou=d be used to predict the risk of metastases in breast cancer patients, muc= like the Oncogene test currently in wide usage, and it could be commercia=ized in the near future. The progress we made was possible due to bridging funds from you and other =onors. I want to thank you again for your generous support. I believe you =ill find that your research dollars were efficiently utilized for the maxi=al gain. If you are interested in learning more about our project, we woul= love to come and give you a presentation on what we have achieved so far =nd where we want to go next.
