The comparable example in the October single owner sale I mentioned below which had a =resale estimate of $300,000-500,000 sold to a single bidder who came in =t the last minute for $200,000 hammer ($250,000 with =rem ium). When this desk last sold at auction in October 2002 when it was part of the Estate of Ogden Phipps, it made $834,500 =ith premium so a very considerable drop in value. This is not an isolated incident but a reflection of the =arket for bureau plats at all levels of value. Out of =uriosity, I did a search for bureau plats sold in 2017 both at Christie's and Sotheby's. = Half failed to sell and those that did, largely sold on reserve or at =he low estimate. Please be assured that I am still seeking a way to sell it on =is behalf, either by private sale or auction. I am watching how =11 of our sales shape up internationally to see if the right opportunity presents itself and =onitoring our buyer wish lists. We may have a potential =onsignment of French furniture here in New York for the spring and if =e win the business, it would present the best opportunity so far to reoffer Mr. Epstein's bureau plat. I will =pdate you once I have word but in the meantime, please don't =esitate to contact me if you wish to discuss this further. EFTA_R1_01707504 EFTA02551412
