He always had hi= hand in the game, even recently promoting tournaments at Madison Square Garden and working with my kids, teachi=g them how to be great players. </=pan> New York Junior Ten=is & Learning (NYJTL) is nearing completion of a state-of-the-art tenn=s and educational facility in Crotona Park, in the heart of the South Bron=, named for my dear late friend Cary Leeds, who played on the professional tour in the early 1980s. Since Michael pass=d away, many people have asked me what they can do in his memory. I have b=en thinking about this all summer and then a light went on...Michael a=d Cary were great friends. They had so much in common: they were both great junior tennis players, they were both=always the most handsome men in the room, they could both charm anyone, an= most of all, they both loved me and I loved them with all my heart and so=l.
