It might not work — he is usually charging up to 30 (or sometimes 50K) per ticket. Also too many people there have their jets. The problem is that it might be to close to the date. Your best chances and much cleaner way is that Larry Summers (or much less powerful Peter Mendelson) organizes ad hoc round table on financial markets/future of the currency and invites you as a panelist. The other way of doing it is that you do not need to be register to attend Davos. The most interesting events are various meetings that are happening outside the main congress center. Also there are good parties which are always outside the congress whole. You will not be attending sessions on Bono commenting on economy etc anyway ;) It might be slightly annoying as it is hard to freely commute through Davos if you do not have pass, but it is manageable.
