Chris is really moving in the direction of "do good," so the program is very different... I always like Juan Enriquez. Have you met him? he's a friend, lives in Boston. I can easily set that up. Amanda Palmer's talk is up on Tr. D corn -- I'm not sure if you'll be interested. She's a first rate original. Musician. The Art of Asking. She stopped working with a record company and now just relics on fans to donate and makes much more money. Beardyman is a cool beatbox dude. Liu Bolin (art -- he makes himself invisible in these photos of China --- art is amazing and he was fascinating) Mary Lou Jepsen - you'll love her. Tech to read thoughts. I know her. She is brilliant and really out there. She just took a job with Google and they don't really want her talking about this stuff. Based in the bay area. Larry Lessig on government corruption - it's worth watching this talk and learning about the movement he's working to create. He will be successful. The force is with him. Harvard guy. MIT Media Lab open house spring event is 4/22-23. I'll be there. Joi Ito (one of the most interesting people at TED!) - whom you met - is in charge. I enjoyed TED, but I'm pretty sure you'd be bored out of your mind. Oh - another person, friend of mine, for you to meet in NY or bay area, if I can snag him - James Joaquin. Very interesting, smart guy. On another note -- If you're serious about doing a "conference" that would be FUN+-H- Let me know. Preliminary thoughts -- Since the conference takes on the personality of the curator(s), I would get 6-9 curators (depending on how long we wanted to go) Ask each to identify 3-4 speakers (people they are blown away by) Curators: Danny Hillis, Dan Ariely, Dave Gallo (rhythms), Dean Kamen (?), Boris, Juan Enriquez, George Dyson, and you? and me?, Bartunde EFTA_R1_00334333 EFTA01903470
