As many of you already know, Jes has played a central role in our relationships with regulatory agencies, politicians and their key constituencies around the globe i have asked that he remain in this role as i believe it will vital to our growth in world that is under going major shifts in its fudamental understanding of the banking system. After jes's three years at the helm of the Investment bank and International, the businesses have never been stronger, and are left with great momentum and a deep bench. The conditions are now ripe to begin a transition of the management of the IB to the next generation while taking full advantage of Jes's apptitude to initaite new ideas and solutions in the fast changing and ever growing complexity of regulation and technology.
