(Fm getting an honorary doctorate from the Sorbonne, tomorrow.) When I'm in California, which is usually these days, I've settled into a routine where we (Robin and I) go to an apartment we've rented in SF Friday afternoon, back to SU late Sunday night or early Monday morning. I'm generally hanging out in the mornings on the weekend, so no reason we can't call or Skype, if you prefer). My cell phone is now I have no idea whether I've made a big mistake in taking this job. You would love it, but I'm less interested in talking to smart people. So far, two deans from HU have visited me and told me that they want me back, and one of the members of the Board of Overseers told me that Drew had told him to tell me that I would be welcome back any time. This is all very flattering. I do feel "appreciated" by Stanford, but its just not in the same league as HU, I regret to report. Maybe the weather? Not sure. In any case, I'm just now putting in to have a program in the new branch campus in NYC, assuming that Bloomberg does the rational thing and selects SU. If all goes well, Ill spend a week a month in NYC. EFTA_R1_00242421 EFTA01849962
