As I mentioned we need to fill a junior stewardess position promptly, prior to our departure for the Bahamas on Thursday next week (30th March). Marcy introduced me to the two young ladies operating the bar at your recent crew networking event. I understand they were looking for work. They seemed very pleasant. You can confirm the details more with the Captain and Chief Stewardess but I understand we are looking for someone relatively new to the industry, or with maybe a season's experience. We are a completely private boat - no charters at all - and we operate two longer trips a year. This year they will be approximately six weeks each. Both of these will be in the Bahamas this year. The rest of the time we are based in Fort Lauderdale, essentially in yard period. The owners of the boat are wonderful people to work for • and the longevity of the crew is a testament to that. In the Bahamas we spend that time at anchor at one location in the Exumas Land and Sea Park, so it is remote. We are a small crew (7 total). There are no bars to go ashore to and no other people around except for the occasional small sailing yacht. The candidate should be comfortable and not feel like they've been "abducted" in this type of situation, and be comfortable working in this type of situation.
