The organization was founded in 1996 by former senator Allison Petrus and has been a successful and rewarding organization within the community. Senator Petrus saw the need to form the organization to offer the youths in the community an opportunity to showcase and enhance their basketball and interpersonal skills. The name "Zero Tolerance" says what we stand for, a drug and violence free organization and community. For the years since our inception, the organization has been primarily sponsored and funded by the Government of the Virgin Islands. Local businesses and other local organizations have also contributed to our activities over the years. As our community grows, I now see the need to expand the organization to include basketball clinics, additional tournaments, and other developmental clinics and conferences. In addition, I envision having partnership with the British Virgin Islands. I am writing this letter to offer you an opportunity to take part in our organization in your own way. You can present monetary donations or offer merchandise as you deem appropriate.
