Guidelines for 0-1/ EB-1 Arts Letters of Recommendation: 1. The letters can be addressed to "To Whom it May Concern", "Dear Sir or Madam", or "Dear Immigration Officer"; 2. The address should be: US DHS CIS Vermont Service Center St. Albans, VT 3. But, DO NOT mail directly to that address, the letters should either be forwarded to the person who requested the letters, or to the attorney who is handling the case; 4. The letters must be signed and must be printed on official stationary, if available; 5. If you wish, please include a short CV of yourself with the letters, that goes a long way; 6. The letters follow this structure: a. Paragraph 1: You start with something like "I am offering this letter on behalf of the 0-1 visa application of Ms. as a "public relationship/ PR/ corporate communications/ or communications specialist" of extraordinary ability. Then you give a short-bio of yourself, explaining why you are a leader in the field and why you are qualified to render this opinion, and how you got to know IIIIIIIIHdid you work with her, did you benefit from her work, or are you simply familiar with the caliber of work she performs; b. Paragraph 2/3: You explain some of qualifications and then discuss why she is outstanding/ extraordinary—Does she have a unique vision? Does she bring a fresh perspective to communications/ PR? Is she capable of things her peers are not? Did she achieve lots of success? Did the events, fundraisers, publicity and organizational activities she performed receive good reviews, or were they prestigious? Did she work prestigious campaigns/ projects, etc? Any other factors/ qualifications/ skills you think are impressive. In essence, why is she good? c. Last paragraph: You can wrap the letter stating that you are recommending visa application and that they would be an asset to the US.
