Boika's husband, co-petitioner Sergey Zhits, joined Boika's asylum petition as a derivative applicant. An immigration judge denied relief based on an adverse credibility determination, and the Board of Immigration Appeals affirmed. Boika and Zhits petitioned this court for review.
