They are requiring a formal entry for this shipment as it contains goods which value over $2,500 and which are foreign made. This is a repeat of the issue LSJE, LLC encountered in 2014 when we had to prove to both US Customs and the VI government that LSJE, LLC is not a business, does not possess or require a business license, and therefore cannot file a formal entry. I spoke with Darren about what transpired today, and emailed to both Erika and Darren the correspondences and letters from July 2014, when US Customs ruled in your favor. Darren suggests that we contact US Customs and provide them with the attached materials to demonstrate that the issue has previously been resolved by them and the VI Government, who determined that LSJE, LLC is not a business, and no formal entry was required. Is it okay for us to contact US Customs and provide them with this information to try to resolve the matter? If so, do you want me to call them, or would you prefer for Erika to contact them on our behalf?
