The issue is what they can show you versus speak to because in many cases Millenium (izzy) or a bank prop desk owned the record. The manager would leave and have to rebuild the model. All the managers can and will talk to the prior performance. Obviously one year of performance on a higher frequency model is statistically more relevant than a fundamental fund with few trades per month or year. I wanted you to meet the managers to get a feel. The Millenium model fires or "trades out of managers relatively quickly if they do not perform, so the pool of managers changes.
