Here's a country of 330,000 people which up until 2008 was pulling way above its weight, with a highly educated population, brought low, not by the general global financial malaise (Although that didn't help ) but by the actions of a few individuals, leading to the collapse of the banking sector in its entirety, and a multi Billion dispute with the UK and the Netherlands. The restructuring has been completed and the creditors have taken over the old bankrupt banks. The "good" assets have been hived off, and are now held by the "new" banks owned by Government, and a new Enterprise Fund, charged with optimizing the value of those assets.
