Bottom line entry level speed choices: 1-SatCom direct $97,652 annual 2-Arinc $75,552 annual I'd like to sign up with Arinc, we can upgrade speed at anytime for no additional cost. I will be referring to 3 services and Something called CPDLC =(Controller Pilot Data Link Communication). which is New Generation of communication for Jets, mainly used for North Atlantic Crossings„ GIV does not have this, NOT mandatory until 2020. the G550 has CPDLC installed. 1-New WIFI is called KA Band JetConnectX, 2-DATA Link, is used for communication of the aircraft computer to Air Traffic controller for Clearances, Weather updates while flying and Down Loading Flight plans. 3-Swift BroadBand, is the orginal Wifi system that was installed on the G550„ its still installed and operational, so theoretically we have 2 WIFI systems installed now on the G550. ICA Band and Swift. WIFI is obviously Internet access world wide, DATA Link uses VHF Radio when on the Ground, or it uses SWiftBroad WIFI system, also, to operate CPDLC communication, it must use Swift Broadband wife to work,,, ICA Band is not approved for CPDLC EFTA00891839
