Joel did the right thing by standing by his booker, but the fact is that he didn't know what he was doing and career suffered greatly as a result. The question about whether or not she was past her prime was sort of a red herring, of course she is past her prime, she was past her prime when Next took her...Patrick Demarchliere has been past his prime for many years but that doesn't stop him from working. That's what dissappointed me about the whole situation, the way they shifted the focus onto and made her seem like a washed up girl when in fact she's not, she's working very well, both on the ed and money side. Sony to babble on about this but I was dissappointed at the way Neext handled the situation, telling her she looked great and that they were all behind her, then calling her in and telling her to go to Europe to work on her book and then removing her from the website the next day. I don't think she deserved that kind of treatment....and removing her from the site makes it much harder for me to place her w another NY agency because whoever I present her to will know she was dropped. They should have kept her on the site as a courtesy, just long enough for me to place her elsewhere. Anyway, she flew to Moscow last night and works in Milan on monday (9,000 Euros) then later in the week to Barcelona to do a Revlon job (20,000 Euros).
