Later this month, I am moderating a distinguished panel at the big twitter conference with Jon Klein (President of CNN), Arianna Huffington, Caprice Young (CEO of Milken's Knowledge Universe - I am on their board for creating a new approach to on-line education), Jeff Pulver, and Peter Hirshberg. I have been concerned that with information pipelines becoming so inexpensive, if not basically free, we are rapidly transitioning from an Age of Information into an Age of Misinformation. The democritization of information, where anybody can be anything or say anything, and all is presented on an equal playing field (regardless of merit) is not necessarily good. Misinformation and its subset of disinformation is rapidly drowning out information. And, twitter, by its very contraints, robs information of its most imp
