What I liked about this example is the scale which is very long horizontally across the property as a boardwalk and very steep vertically as a boardwalk stair. I would like to emphasize this here at LSJ but make it more dramatic. I also loved the built in benches along both the stair as well as the boardwalk. We could do a variety of seating styles, some areas open, some covered for shade, different types of moments. They have used a mixture of both wood and the synthetic wood for both the railings and the planking. The synthetic looked pretty good and we should definitely look into it. I would like to proceed with the concept of tying in the "landscaped" areas: the nursery, Pop's garden, the Tiki Hut, the salt pond, the fruit trees, banana plantation with the Gym.
