From: Jes Staley To: "Jeffrey E. Epstein" [email protected]> Subject: Date: Sun, 24 Mar 2013 19:10:34 +0000 The other day, Chapin, the all girl school that educated asked her to speak to the sixth graders about physics. The girls showed up, as did most of the faculty, and some of the administrators. told her story. How she was tutored seven days a week. How Chapin asked many times whether should go to a less demanding school. How she was one of the slower kids in class. And how she pushed through all of the challenges to fall in love with math and physics. She talked about Bowdoin, and the professors that believed in her and mentored her. About the Phi Beta Kapa. And then about Columbia. Chapin asked her to speak because she will be the first girl from Chapin to receive an advanced degree in physics. She is breaking new ground. I write this note in part because received letters from most of the sixth graders that heard her speak, and they talked about the impact of her words. the head of Chapin's lower school also wrote a very touching letter. But more importantly, I write this because and I know what you did to allow her to follow her dreams.
