From the AirPort in the hall off the kitchen, it should go through the Devolo Powerline Adapter to the AirPort at his desk — that should be up to 550 Mbps, limited by the speed of the powerline adapter. I asked for speed tests to be conducted at each link (off the line going to the AirPort in the hall, off the AirPort in the hall and off the AirPort at the desk as well as the other locations in the flat) so we could be certain which piece in the chain was losing the speed, but instead of being speedtest results, I was told they were 1000 Mbps.... something was lost in translation.
