He now lives in beautiful southern Chester County which has inspired much of his work. Some of Coyle's natural talent comes from a family trait as he is a third-generation relative of William Glackens, a turn-of-the-century artist who was a member of the Ashcan Group, also known as The Immortal 8. Coyle studied art at the Ivy School of Fine Art in Pittsburgh and at the Art Institute of Philadelphia where he combined his expertise with an understanding of art history. His taste in art centers on the works of the old Masters. like Michelangelo. el Greco, di Vinci, and, Impressionists Cezanne and Renoir. He is also inspired by many local artists like, Rea Refer. Thomas Eakins, and the late Ray DiJohn, who also served as Coyle's mentor and dose friend. This week's discussion will be on the changes in art over the past 500 years and how it mirror the changes in ourselves and civilization. This will culminate on where we are now and where we may be going. Learn more at: www.BruceMCoyle.com ; -.ibruce-m-coyle Tune in and learn morel Feel free to call in.
