One man was killed and five were wounded. The three-car convoy raced to an Israeli army post when the shooting broke out. One of the injured received a life-threatening wound to the abdomen and underwent emergency surgery after being airlifted to a hospital from the army post. Israeli news sources are reporting that the incident appears to have been the result of a lack of coordination between the Israelis and Palestinian security forces — the latter who were apparently in the chase vehicle that shot at the Israeli convoy. Both the Palestinians and Israelis are investigating.
