Pursuant to an email, you've requested two adjustments to the proposal, namely the deletion of any reference to international and the adjustment to the suggested fee which my firm proposed. Please allow me to share my position regarding these requests. First, the reason for my reference to international was based on the fact I have learned that a petition similar to the one you're proposing may have been made in the British Territory a couple of years ago. not certain of the status of their request and would like to research this information, as well as other private islands throughout the World where appeals similar to yours may have been honored. I will use this information as supporting documentation when engaging the community and government officials. Additionally, once the United States Board on Geographic Names and/or the U. S. Geological Survey conducts their review, our Firm will need to determine if additional appeals would have to be made to change the name on World Maps and the World Atlas. Secondly, the compensation for this project took into consideration the anticipated countless hours, weeks and indeed months that will be required to aggressively approach and advance this matter. As I noted in my correspondence, it would take close to nine (9) months of constant and consistent attention to deliver the results you are seeking.
