But to get the lips fully numb it's several injections and then the patient is numb for several hours. Whereas the topical will wear off typically in 30 min or so. The tip of all modern HA fillers, also, is filled with lidocaine which will make the lip go numb upon the first "poke", so usually that's the most they will feel. But again, if you absolutely need the nerve block we will 100% make it work for you! We want the patient to be calm and comfortable. (although, personally, the nerve block hurts much more than the actual injections!)
