The thought process was to allow the local police department to conduct the interview, if they wish. If she declines, so be it. We were hoping to hold off on an MEAT unless they decide to charge her. If the local PD won't do the interview without an MAT, we can discuss with the AUSAs to see if that is feasible. I have cc'd the case agents on the case as well.
