IMSS, which provides healthcare services, previously asked the sixth and seventh circuit courts earlier this year to consider whether it can pursue US damages claims stemming from Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations by medical device businesses Stryker and Zimmer Biomet. At the 8 December hearing before the Sixth Circuit, IMSS's counsel said that, if the lower court's decision concerning Stryker isn't overturned, then the Mexican government agency's lawsuits against others including Zimmer Biomet will also be shut
