In about Aoril/Mav 2016 Mr. Tees asked me if I could act as mentor /supervisor for a young lawyer also employed by Mr. Tees, in connection matter involving the male spouse of one of Mr. Tee's long- with a major criminal standing clients. 3. The matter received wide spread newspaper publicity and concerned charges of commercial drug trafficking against one Mr. Orville Alfa Adriaan De Raadt("De Raadt"). IS immediate task was in connection with a proposed bail application which was in the course of preparing together with a brief to and intik Mr. David T. Cole of counsel from the bar at Southport in which locality was practising. 5. As a young solicitor it was my perception that had been very much thrown into the deep end because of the scope, complexity and importance of the matter and this was more so because Mr. Tees was not readily available and therefore required an experienced practitioner who could devote time and effort to ensure that the retainer was carried out in an efficient and professional manner. 6. I agreed to help and supervise in his and the firm's Interests. The scope of work and time and effort expende was far more than originally anticipated but for me ,as I believe was also the case with once we had accepted the responsibility to act we were bound to see the matter through no matter what the exigencies of the case turned out to be.
