But it is a case that exemplifies, more than any other case I can think of, why what we do is so important and worthwhile. Through these cases, we have exercised our immense responsibility and power in the most valuable of ways — to bring justice to victims who were wronged, first by monster and then by the justice system itself. • So this case is one of if not the case I am most honored to have played some role in during my time in the office. And I have done so little. All credit goes to the team for pushing this case so intensely, thoughtfully, and diligently.
